Your Past Doesn’t Get the Final Word | The Cross Changes Everything

What happened when Saul of Tarsus encountered the risen Jesus Christ and discovered that Jesus IS the Christ?

Paul could not erase his past. He could not undo the persecution or change who Saul of Tarsus had been. But his past did not get the final word. Grace did.

The same is true for the believer today.

Whatever guilt, shame, failure, bitterness, fear, or memory may be holding you back, do not give it more power than the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Your past doesn’t get the final word. Grace does.

Your failures don’t get the final word. The Cross does.

Jesus Christ said, “IT IS FINISHED.”
