In this study, we continue our series "The Cross Throughout the Scriptures" by examining one of the most powerful declarations ever made about our Lord Jesus Christ:
"Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)
Why was this the very first public announcement made about Jesus Christ?
Why didn't John the Baptist introduce Him as King, Messiah, Prophet, or even the Son of God?
Because from the very beginning, God's focus was on the Cross.
