Holocaust means devastation. It includes all persecution of the Jews or the violent expression of Anti-Semitism.
a. Degeneracy is the decline from normal or superior standards to inferior or subnormal standards.
b. Degeneracy is also loss of integrity, resulting in a state of deterioration,

c. Degeneracy is the process of passing from the higher to the lower; to decline progressively.
Religious degeneracy of the Jews = going from the superior standards of the Mosaic Law to the inferior standards of internal and external explosion and apostasy.
Historical degeneracy = going from the superior standards of establishment power and authority to the inferior and subnormal standards which distort authority into tyranny and power, resulting in persecution.
Historical degeneracy persecutes religious degeneracy.
The exception is where religious degeneracy has historical power, as occurred in Spain in the Fifteenth century, and with the Catholic church during the Middle Ages.
In Christianity, the superior standard of the PPOG is rejected, and the inferior standard of legalism, works orientation, the dog and pony show, or antinomianism is substituted as the Christian way of life.
DEU 4:19-27; 28:63-68 – the Lord God told Israel that if she continued to rebel against God she would suffer persecution more than any other nation in human history.
JER 29:18 – because she rejected the word of God, Israel was told that she would be a plague to people wherever she went.
12,000 Jews were killed in the Rhine land under the pretext that they were god killers, in the year 1096.
In 1290 Jews were expelled from England under penalty of hanging.
In the year 1298, 100,000 Jews were killed in Franconia, Bavaria, and Austria.
In 1306, 100,000 Jews were expelled from France under the threat of death.
In 1348, the Jews were accused of causing the black plague and a million were killed.
In 1492, the Inquisition drove 300,000 Jews out of Spain under the threat of death.
From 1648-1658 about 400,000 Polish Jews were killed.
ISA 5:6 And I will lay it waste; it will not be pruned or hoed, but briars and thorns will come up. I will also charge the clouds to rain no rain on it.
DEU 11:17 The anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that there will be no rain And the ground will not yield its fruit; and you will perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.
ZEC 7:14 but I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land is desolated behind them, so that no one went back and forth, for they made the pleasant land desolate.
Scar tissue of the soul, hardness of the heart, is the result of prolonged residence and function inside the cosmic system. There is generally a logical retrogression in which blackout of the soul precedes scar tissue of the soul, or is coterminous with it.
What blackout of the soul is to the left lobe of the soul (mind), scar tissue of the soul is to the right lobe (heart).

Scar tissue of the soul, hardness of the heart, is the result of prolonged residence and function inside the cosmic system.

Satan’s cosmic system includes two power systems by which the believer comes under the control of Satan: cosmic one and cosmic two, JOH 12:31; JOH 16:11; 2CO 4:4; EPH 2:2.
Blackout of the soul is the believer saying no to doctrine, which opens a vacuum in the left lobe that draws in false concepts.
Blackout of the soul then spreads like a disease and results in the right lobe disorder of scar tissue of the soul.
Scar tissue of the soul is that spiritual disorder of involvement in the cosmic system resulting in total loss of momentum, and eventuating in the most awful discipline from God.
2CO 4:3-4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving.
2CO 3:14-16 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their right lobe.
ROM 11:7-8 God has given them a spirit of stupor, “Eyes to see not, ears to hear not,” down to this very day.
Blackout of the soul and the hardness of the heart was manifested in the Pharaoh of the Exodus generation, Pharaoh Thutmose III.
ROM 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.”
“God hardened his heart” = God let him live to express his scar tissue of the soul far beyond anyone else had ever done in the past.
God did not coerce Pharaoh’s volition; he was a free agent.
PSA 76:10 for the wrath of man shall praise Thee.
God did not create evil in Pharaoh, but Pharaoh made his own evil through his volition.
1) Liberation of the Jews from slavery, in order to form a client nation to God.
2) Evangelization of Egypt, EXO 7:3-5.
3) Evangelization of the world, EXO 9:16.
1. Stubbornness – EXO 4:21, And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your power; but I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.”
2. Selfishness – DEU 15:7, If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother;
3. No respect for the Lord – ISA 63:17, Why, O Lord, dost Thou cause us to stray from Thy ways, And harden our heart from fearing Thee? Return for the sake of Thy servants, the tribes of Thy heritage.
4. Self-destruction – EXO 14:8, And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he chased after the sons of Israel as the sons of Israel were going out boldly.
5. Rebellion – 2CH 36:13, And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar who had made him swear allegiance by God. But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord God of Israel.
6. Slander and speaking evil – ACT 19:9, But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he withdrew from them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
7. Lack of perceptive ability – 2CO 3:14, But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.
8. Arrogance – NEH 9:29, And admonished them in order to turn them back to Thy law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to Thy commandments but sinned against Thine ordinances, By which if a man observes them he shall live. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen.
9. Refusal to receive correction – JER 17:23, Yet they did not listen or incline their ears, but stiffened their necks in order not to listen or take correction.

Scar tissue of the soul, also known as hardness of the heart, is the result of prolonged residence and function inside the cosmic system.
Scar tissue of the soul is that spiritual disorder of involvement in the cosmic system resulting in total loss of momentum, and eventuating in the most awful discipline from God.
ROM 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.”
JOS 2:10-11 – Rahab the harlot was converted through the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart.
In the first five plagues, Pharaoh hardened his own heart. After these, God permitted him to live for the next five plagues. Pharaoh had many opportunities to change his mind, EXO 7:22; EXO 8:15, 32, 9:34-35.
1) Liberation of the Jews from slavery, in order to form a client nation to God.
2) Evangelization of Egypt, EXO 7:3-5.
3) Evangelization of the world, EXO 9:16.
Paul compares the Jews of the First Advent and Church-age with Pharaoh, to demonstrate that their negative volition and hardness of heart at the time of our Lord broke Pharaoh’s record, Rom 9-11.
JOH 1:11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
In BC 1441, the world’s record for scar tissue of the soul was held by historical degeneracy found in the Pharaoh of the Exodus.
The Lord said in effect, “I have caused you to continue in history.”
When we find ourselves in jeopardy, whether personal, national, or international, these things are permitted to continue in history that the power of God may be demonstrated.

PSA 76:10 – God uses the wrath of man to praise Him.
By means of the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart and the scar tissue of his soul, God is going to demonstrate His power in such a way that it will have an effect on two entire generations.
Doctrine of heathenism = if anyone in any part of the world, no matter how geographically isolated, at the point of God consciousness expresses in his soul a desire to know God and have a relationship with God, then God will provide, some way and somehow, that information.
Apparently there was such a situation in the time of Pharaoh Amenhotep II and Pharaoh Thutmose III.
Instead of God using the Internet, or satellite radio, or television, he used the hardness of one man’s heart to get the gospel message and His power throughout this region.
PRO 16:4 The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.
JOB 21:30 For the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity; they will be led forth at the day of fury.
PSA 76:10 for the wraths of man shall praise Thee.
Jerusalem translation –
Man’s wrath only adds to Your glory;
He used the evil and the wickedness of the self-righteous Pharisees toward the woman caught in adultery to reveal His glory to the world, JOH 8:1-11.
GEN 50:20 – the evil and jealousy of Joseph’s brothers.
The Lord will use the hardness of an unbeliever’s heart and the hardness of a believer’s heart to bring glory to Himself.
Inevitably the Lord will be glorified even when men perform the greatest evil which they are capable of performing.
2CO 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
One of the most fascinating things that will ever come to us in heaven is to see history strictly from the divine viewpoint.
A crisis or a tragedy could be one of the greatest blessings in the world.
MAT 27:29 And after weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they kneeled down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
JOH 15:20 A slave is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you;
MAR 15:32 “Let this Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” And those who were crucified with Him were casting the same insult at Him.
But all their slandering does not change a thing,
“For even at this very hour if the Father pleases, Kings shall bow and adore, And nations kneel down before Him, And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
PHI 2:10-11, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

In BC 1441, the world’s record for scar tissue of the soul was held by the historical degeneracy of the Pharaoh of the Exodus generation.
When Moses went to Egypt in order to get the deliverance of the Exodus group from slavery, he had to perform 10 miracles.
There were 10 tests, the tenth at Kadesh-Barnea, where they lived in fear of the giants in the promise land, and it kept the Exodus generation out of the land.
Under the doctrine of numerology, the number 10 in the Word of God represents the perfection of the divine order.
Hebrew and Greek – in both written languages there are no numeric characters.
1 is the number of unity. DEU 6:4 Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!
EPH 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
2 is the number of division. The Son who has two natures: human and divine. There are 2 Testaments: the Old and New.
Man is Male and Female. Rom 9 speaks of two vessels: one for honorable use and the other for dishonorable use.
Two types of people: Sheep and Goats. There are two ages, this age and the age to come: MAT 12:32; 13:39,40,49; MAR 10:30.
3 is the number of divine perfection. The Trinity consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Time is one yet three, Past; Present; Future. Space is one yet three: Height; Width; Depth. Matter is one yet three; Solid; Liquid; Gas. Man is trichotomous: Body; Soul; Spirit.
Three bear witness – 1JO 5:8 For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
The Good Shepherd;
JOH 10:14-15, speaking of His death.
The Great Shepherd;
HEB 13:20, speaking of His resurrection.
The Chief Shepherd; 1PE 5:4, speaking of His glory.
4 is the number of creation. MAT 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
5 is the number of grace. David picked up the fifth smooth stone to fight Goliath, 1SA 17:40.
The Holy Anointing Oil was pure and composed of 5 parts, EXO 30:23-25.
6 is the number of man: Man was created on the sixth day. The sixth commandment is “Thou shalt not murder.”
7 is the number of spiritual perfection.
7 “eternals” in Hebrews:
A priest for ever (1:6);
Eternal salvation (1:9);
Eternal judgment (6:2);
Eternal redemption (9:12); Eternal spirit (9:14);
Eternal inheritance (9:15); Everlasting covenant (13:20).
8 is the number of new beginnings. 8 people on Noah’s Ark, 2PE 2:5; circumcision on eighth day, GEN 17:12; God made 8 covenants with Abraham.
9 is the number of judgment. There are 9 Greek words derived from the root word meaning judgment.
Under the doctrine of numerology, the number 10 in the Word of God represents the perfection of the divine order or divine perfection.
The 10 commandments, the Tithe, the 10 plagues, the parable of the 10 virgins, the 10 I Am’s of Christ, 10 plagues in Egypt, 10 miracles in the desert, 10 rebellions from the congregation of Israel.
The 10 plagues were representative of the complete circle of God’s judgments on Egypt, a type of the world.
He gave them 10 tests, and if they would have passed any of them, they would have gone into the promise land.
This was followed by the 10 rebellions of Israel in the wilderness which represented the completed series of Israel’s perversities, and they will be wiped out at Kadesh-Barnea.

Hamartia = a failing to hit the mark – sinning, by omission or commission, in thought and feeling, or in speech and action. It means a violation of the divine law in thought or action.
It means to consider the things of God to be inconsequential or insignificant, or to lightly esteem.
The Jews of the Exodus generation tied the world’s record for hardness of the heart which was found in Pharaoh.
Beginning in the dispensation of the hypostatic union, the world’s record for hardness of the heart and/or scar tissue of the soul was held by the religious degeneracy of the blindness of Israel.
Political degeneracy persecutes the Jews’ religious degeneracy in every generation of the Jewish age and Church-age.
REV 17:17 For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose [to destroy religious degeneracy], and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be fulfilled.

Every human being must take the responsibility for his own decisions and his own actions in life.
You must take full responsibility yourself, based on your own wrong decisions related to –
Your associations,
Your activities,
Your motives,
Your functions in life.
Volition is the cause for sin even in insanity, neurosis, psychosis and sociopathic behavior.
This category of suffering deals with the natural consequences of sin, human good, evil, and bad judgment in our lives.
All our sins have natural consequences in life, for which the individual who commits them must take full responsibility.
We must always link consequences with bad decisions, rather than blaming someone else.
Volition and decision is the source of both sins of ignorance and sins of cognizance.
The consequences are generally classified as self-induced misery, self-imposed misery, and self-indulged misery.
Proverbs teaches the believer how to live without learning the hard way – from mistakes and from suffering, self-induced, self-imposed, and self-indulged.
Good decisions always result from metabolized doctrine – chakmah or wisdom (epignosis).
Anger and hot-temperedness is also a means of self induced misery.
Excessive use of alcohol leads to crime, suicide, divorce, traffic accidents, economic and industrial losses, loss of health, poverty, national disaster, and for the believer it destroys your spiritual life.

Jesus Christ controls history, and He often uses the volition of evil people and evil nations to do so.
Blackout of the soul is failure to recognize Jesus Christ as the God-man. Scar tissue of the soul is rejection of Christ as Savior.
JOH 5:16 - the Jews were persecuting Jesus,
JOH 5:18 - the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him,
JOH 6:41 The Jews therefore were grumbling about Him,
JOH 8:52 The Jews said, “We know that You have a demon.”
JOH 10:31 The Jews took up stones again to stone Him.
JOH 18:12 the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him,
JOH 1:11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
Most of the Jews became very arrogant because of the blessing of God being upon them, and so they entered into passive arrogance. Passive arrogance is generally associated with freedom and prosperity for three or four generations.
1. Volition. Human volition must have freedom and privacy for proper function. Divine establishment provides freedom and privacy for those who do not violate criminal law.
2. Marriage. Monogamy, a permanent relationship between one man and one woman, is ordained of God to remind mankind that He has from the beginning a design: right man - right woman, GEN 1:26:27, 5:1-2, 2:18-25;1CO 7:2-4.
Even the unbeliever, whose life is a total failure, can have great temporary happiness by marrying the right woman, ECC 9:9.
3. Family. God has provided certain divine laws, such as the authority of parents, to protect, care, nourish, provide, train, and discipline children to prepare them for life.
The highest expression of parental love is to inculcate through the forms of discipline.
4. Nationalism. If the entire human race were under one rule prior to the Millennium, it would self-destruct. Internationalism is outlawed as being evil by the Word of God.
Passive arrogance accepts freedom and prosperity totally apart from human virtue and a sense of responsibility.
Passive arrogance assumes one has a right to all those blessings without any responsibility and without adherence to the laws of divine establishment.
Passive arrogance by the Jews of the dispersion (when they were scattered from their home land) resulted in active arrogance on the part of their persecutors.
Negative volition, apostasy, and passive arrogance or indifference creates the vacuum which attracts the persecution of active arrogance, holocaust and historical disaster.
PRO 19:15 Laziness casts into a deep sleep, And an idle man will suffer hunger.
Evil demands evil and cruelty demands cruelty, and therefore passive arrogance demands the function of active arrogance against it.
Active arrogance punishes passive arrogance until the active arrogance through prosperity also becomes passive.
In REV 12:13, Satan, with active arrogance frustrated by his fall from heaven in the middle of the Tribulation, is the instrument of punishment of the Jews in the last half of the Tribulation.
Turn to REV 17:16-17
The groups who practice Anti-Semitism generally possess an active arrogance plus evil, e.g., the Muslims or the nation of Islam.
The Jews who will be the victims of Satan in the middle of the Tribulation are those apostate Jews who have developed passive arrogance through their residence and function in the cosmic system.
The ten horns and the beast represent political and historical degeneracy in the Tribulation period. The harlot or the prostitute represents religious degeneracy.
Ideology = the doctrines, opinions, or way of thinking of a certain class of people.
One produces historical degeneracy. The other produces religious degeneracy. Both violate divine institution number 1, freedom.
Since a religious society cannot think or reason, it becomes emotional with blind arrogance.
During the medieval times the Jews bounced back and forth between Romanism and Islamic persecution.
1. A great nation is built on humility, never arrogance.
2. When humility and virtue existed, the Jews were tolerated and accepted. But where arrogance existed they were persecuted.
3. Active arrogance is inspired by an outside source, Satan and his cosmic system. But passive arrogance is produced from an inside source, bad decisions from a position of weakness.
4. Passive arrogance is subjective toward its victims, while active arrogance is objective toward its victims.
1. Satan is arrogant, and arrogance blinds creatures from what they are actually doing.
2. Satan is obsessed with hatred for the Jews, and hatred causes creatures to be irrational and emotional.

Divine protection for regenerate Israel in the first half of the tribulation.

Verse 14 - the positive side, the deliverance of born again regenerate believers or true Israel in the first half of the Tribulation.
We have the tendency to think that once we get into unstable times, such as historical disaster, that somehow the opportunity is gone for the believer, when actually the opportunity and spiritual impact is even greater.
We do not need historical prosperity for Christian blessing.
Things are becoming very unstable, and some things have been brought to light to demonstrate the fact that we are not only in a very unusual time economically, but socially.
Turn to ISA 33:5-6
No matter how great the disaster, whether it comes from war, famine, disease, economic depression, social degeneration, it does not change God’s plan for your life.
Turn to REV 12:14
This is all speculation, but possibilities have been suggested such as the fact that this means escape by airplane.
ISA 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up {with} wings like eagles,
Another interpretation = the eagle, which is symbolic of the USA which has protected Israel in the past.
They will remember that long after they have forgotten something important in eschatology, like the Rapture precedes the Tribulation which means many Americans will have already been Raptured.
The third possibility - this is angelic protection in time of fleeing.
Escape by airplane is ruled out on the basis of the fact that the rugged mountain terrain where the Jews are escaping to, in the first half of the Tribulation, makes such landings impossible.
2CO 2:17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God,
The second possibility - many so-called end times prophecy teachers have really made a mint writing books on -
the eagle is symbolic of the USA, which has protected Israel in the past.
The third possibility is certainly compatible with angelic protection of true Israel and it is in doctrine - this is angelic protection in time of fleeing.
The Jews were not picked up on eagles’ wings and carried to the Lord, they did not die, they did not ride eagles; it just simply is used here for the Lord’s logistical grace protection of the Jews in their Exodus wanderings.
Eagles’ wings, EXO 19:4, are simply used for systems of divine protection.
The Bible dictates the fourth possibility - divine protection for true or regenerate Israel in the first half of the Tribulation through the training of God.
PSA 144:1 Blessed be the Lord, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, {And} my fingers for battle;
PRO 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
LUK 6:40 A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.
2TI 2:15 Study to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
2TI 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
EPH 4:11-12 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
The two wings of the great eagle given to the woman has to do with the spiritual training of the believers at that time by being obedient to certain commands from God.
REV 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
This divine protection may be administered through angels, but actually the divine protection, the eagle, is administered through the content of the Scriptures, MAT 24:15ff.

The king of the north, which today would be comparable to the Russians who are basically still Communists and filled with deceit, and are interested in Israel, to take it over.
The kings of the east, comparable today to the Chinese, or the Asiatic Communist block.
The historical antagonism of the Arab, called the king of the south.
Israel looks toward western Europe, the revived Roman Empire of the Tribulation, and there is a deal between them, the king of the west, or the revived Roman Empire and Israel.

DAN 9:27 And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations {will come} one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.
DAN 11:31 And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation.
DAN 12:11 And from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished, and the abomination of desolation is set up, {there will be} 1,290 days.
The high desert country in REV 12:6 is called Edom, Moab and Ammon, in DAN 11:41.

The two wings of the great eagle represent the divine protection given by God through divine commands.
EXO 19:4 “You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.”
DEU 32:9-12 - eagles’ wings were used for the spiritual training of Israel.
This is the image of the dictator, of the revived Roman empire in the Tribulation, who also doubles as the ruler of ecumenical religion.
The protection of God is given through divine commands that must be followed in order for the believer to be protected.

It is following the commands of God to flee to the desert land.
The two wings of the great eagle represent the protection for those who follow the word of God which is alive and powerful.
PSA 103:5 He satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
ISA 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up {with} wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.
EZE 1:10 - the eagle represents the deity of TLJC; the Lord in His deity is the one who protects us in time of disaster.

They do not have the wings of the eagle to carry them away, they have: the Lord will fight for you that day, the promise of ZEC 14:1-4, the Lord is going to fight for them.
The Jews who flee as per the Lord’s command, Mat 24, and the Jews who fight as per the Lord’s command, Zec 14.
If you are in the first half of the Tribulation, as a Jewish believer in Israel, and you decide, “I’m going to stand and fight these scoundrels,” you are going to get wiped out.
The word of God tells you when you need to be positive, and when you need to be negative.
1) The law of liberty - you have the right to do certain things which will not cause you to sin or enter into carnality,
1CO 8:4,9.
The law of freedom and liberty is freedom to serve the Lord and freedom to produce divine good.
The law of liberty means that you have the right to do certain things which will not cause you to sin or enter into carnality.
2) The law of love - the function of impersonal love to avoid offending weaker believers and becoming a distraction to their spiritual growth, 1CO 8:13.
The law of freedom is directed toward self whereas the law of love is directed toward others.
1TH 5:22 abstain from all appearance of evil.
2CO 6:3 Give no cause for offense in anything, in order that the ministry be not discredited,
COL 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
3) The law of expediency - directed toward the unbeliever, 1CO 9:18ff.
In the interest of witnessing for Christ, the believer refrains from doing certain things because they may prevent the unbeliever from seeing the true issue in salvation - to believe in Christ for salvation. 1CO 9:18ff.
PRO 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls.
4) The law of supreme sacrifice - the highest law of Christian behavior. This is a law where the believer sets aside normal and legitimate functions of life to progress the plan of God.

To give - aor-act-ind - didomi = anything given by God is always a matter of grace, it is not earned, it is not deserved, and therefore this is classified as a part of logistical grace provision.
The positive believer advancing to maturity in any time of historical disaster is not in any way deterred from the blessings that belong to him in the midst of those adversities in life.
Even though we often associate blessing and prosperity from God related to the good times - there is no personal blessing, no promotion, no system of prosperity, which you cannot have in the greatest time of historical adversity.
God’s plan continues and has the same blessings, the same rewards, the same promotions in historical adversity, as in historical prosperity.
Dative singular indirect object - gunaika = the woman. It is referring here to Israel, specifically regenerate Israel in the first half of the Tribulation.
Dative of advantage - it is to the advantage to be a believer in time of historical disaster.
GAL 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.
To fly - pres-mid-subj - petomai = to fly or to soar above.
Where men are lovers of self, money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
The place is described in DAN 11:31, the land of Edom, Moab and Ammon, high desert country.
MAT 24:16 - it is described as the mountains.
REV 12:6 - it is described as the high desert country.
The place is the provision of logistical grace, and the challenge to perpetuate the faith-rest drill once they have arrived.
No matter how great the adversity, to an individual or to us collectively as a nation, God still has a plan for your life, and logistical grace is still functional.
The temporal clause begins with the particle of place - the adverb of place - hopou - “where” = in that place.
Adverb of place = there are times when there is only one place to be in the plan of God, the right place to be at the right time, and you arrive there by the use of Bible doctrine previously given.
God has never left any generation of believers without a place of refuge, without protection.
We are all products of our own decisions, not our circumstances, and for the Jews to move from that place after they arrive is to destroy their security.

DAN 7:25 And he will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
DAN 12:7 And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half {a time;} and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these {events} will be completed.
Living Bible - REV 12:14 But she was given two wings like those of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to the place prepared for her, where she was cared for and protected from the Serpent, the Dragon, for three and a half years.

The serpent is used instead of Satan or the devil because during the last half of the Tribulation, Satan will attempt to lure or to get the born again Jews to leave their place of refuge.
The word Satan in the Hebrew is Satan, Satanas in the Greek = an adversary, one who withstands; an opponent; a prosecutor, 1CH 21:1, JOB 1:6-12; JOB 2:1-5; ZEC 3:1.
1CH 21:1 Then Satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel.
ZEC 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.
When he is called the devil, diabolos, emphasizes his slander, slanderous, accusing falsely, the malignant enemy of God and the Messiah.
JOH 8:44 You are of {your} father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own {nature;} for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
1TI 3:11 Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips [diabolis, not devil’s], but temperate, faithful in all things.
When he is called the great dragon, drakon speaks of his function as a vicious destroyer.
Serpent - ophis = the hiss of the serpent - “the serpent” is a correct translation, unless you want to be modern and say the snake.
Ophis has the idea of being sly and deceitful and being sneaky about it.
As a serpent he is crafty and deceitful -
GEN 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.
As a serpent he out-rightly denies and contradicts the word of God -
GEN 3:1b And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?”
As a serpent he deceives God’s people -
GEN 3:13b And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
As a serpent he leads God’s people astray -
2CO 11:3 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity {of devotion} to Christ.

Lucifer actually comes from the Latin and it means light bearer. It means the shining one, the translucent one, the simulating one.
Two creatures are said to throw out light which made them ultra-attractive; here heylel for Satan, and nachash,

Satan was attractive to at least one third of all the angels. The serpent was attracted to one-half of all mankind.
2CO 11:14-15 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness;
2CO 11:3-4 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.
You must never look at the personality but the content of the message.
No creature has or ever will successfully challenge the creator.

Those who are born again are safe as long as they stay in their place of refuge, and this why we have MAT 24:21-30, which has to be applied as a part of the faith-rest drill, on the part of these believers.

The elect are those elected to privilege, the believing Jews, true Israel who have fled to the high desert country, as per MAT 24:15 ff.
Satan knows and realizes that the Jews are safe in that high desert country, therefore he must lure, entice or tempt them out of their place of safety, their place of refuge.

This blackout is described in Joel 2:10, 30-31; LUK 21:25-27;
ISA 13:9-10, ZEC 14:6, and other passages.
Joel 2:30-31 And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
The blackout throughout the world makes it possible for everyone to see the Second Advent, because He will come as the light of the world, JOH 8:12, REV 1:7.
They will actually see it when it occurs and therefore they are not to believe the rumors and the false statements, and the miracles, that will be used to tempt them to leave their place of refuge.

Serpent = he gained the tactical victory of rulership of this world by using the serpent as his agent in the temptation of the woman.
To pour - aor-act-ind - ballo = to throw with force, to throw with violence, or intense: to strike down.
Ablative singular - stoma - mouth = the serpent projected from his mouth.
Projected from his mouth = he promoted lies about the Jews and gave the orders for the attack.
Hudor - water.
Water - the Holy Spirit, JOH 7:38.
Water - the word, EPH 5:26.
Water - salvation, ISA 55:1.
Water - ISA 8:7-8 - as a flood is often used for the invading army or invading disaster or attack.
PSA 29:10 The Lord sits as King at the flood; Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.
PSA 32:6 Therefore, let everyone who is spiritual pray to Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they shall not reach him.
River - potamos = a river moving with a tearing speed; used in noun form for water rushing quickly = an analogy for violence or sudden disaster.
“Like the violence of rapid waters.”
After the woman = “overtaking the woman” - Israel. Israel destroyed in this holocaust refers to the unbelieving Jews; those believers who follow the instructions of Mat 24 are safe.
The attack of the third demon assault army is compared to a helpless person about to be overtaken in the rapids, or a wall of water, a flood, and drowned.
God keeps His word, and there will be live Jewish believers to receive the promises of the unconditional covenants at the Second Advent.
Not only is there survival for believers who advance to spiritual maturity in times of historical disaster, but they even have fantastic blessing.
Survival is a matter of having a phenomenal flexibility, and having developed already as a believer the habit of making good decisions from the application of doctrine, so that survival is a matter of grace.
Flexibility starts with the ability to think and to improvise and it means the absence of fear because fear is inability to think under pressure.
The greatest thing going for you is your ability to think under pressure and you have to start out with a spiritual factor: God has a plan for your life, you are still alive.
LUK 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
JOH 18:9 that the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom Thou hast given Me I lost not one.”
JOH 10:28-30 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given {them} to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch {them} out of the Father’s hand. “I and the Father are one.”
Without warning, how quickly everything can change.
The more doctrine you learn the greater becomes your ability to innovate, to adapt, and to change.
The greater becomes your ability to handle situations as they exist, not as you want them to be.
Survivors - these people survive because of this phenomenal flexibility, but flexibility is not the whole answer.
They do not face the reality of adversity, and therefore they do not have the flexibility to meet disaster.
The grace of God always meets the flexibility of believers who apply doctrine in adverse conditions.
While this flexibility is manifesting itself in the application of doctrine, the grace of God is always providing that way of escape.

His goal is to have the return of Christ without any Jew left alive.
To be “swept away” - aor-act-subj - poieo = to do, make, manufacture;
to cause.
Causative active voice - Satan as the subject performs the action of the verb through intermediary means.
He used the serpent to get to the woman in the Garden. Then he used the woman to get to the man, GEN 3:1-5.
Satan used Cain as an intermediary agent to kill a godly man, his brother Abel, GEN 4:8.
Satan used fear as an intermediary agent to get Abraham to lie about the fact that Sarah was his wife, GEN 12:13.
GEN 12:13 “Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well with me because of you, and that I may live on account of you.”
He used the old pity-party excuse of self-justification when Isaac, Abraham’s son, committed the same sin as his father and willfully lied and told the men of Gerah that Rebekah was not his wife but his sister, GEN 26:7.
Satan used love and sex as an intermediary agent to get to Samson, who had a lust for prostitutes and then finally for a ravishing woman named Delilah.
Satan used boredom as an intermediary agent to get David to sin with Bathsheba when he should have been at work leading the Israeli army to victory.
He used a lust for an excessive luxurious lifestyle against Solomon, 1KI 4:22-23.
Satan used Korah, Dathan and Abiram to attack Moses and try to discredit his authority.
JUD 1:8 Yet in the same manner these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.
Satan used Korah, Dathan and Abiram who promised 250 princes of Israel a personal promotion if they would turn on Moses.
Satan used the sin of jealousy to cause Joseph’s brothers to sell him into slavery.
He used the lust for promotion, power and recognition to turn Absalom, David’s son against David.
Delilah was promised promotion for betraying Samson, JDG 16:5, for eleven hundred pieces of silver.
Satan used a love for money as an intermediary agent to Balaam to curse the Jews, Deu 23.
For money Achan brought defeat on Israel’s army and death to himself and to his family, Jos 7.
For money Delilah betrayed Samson and ultimately slaughtered thousands.
For money Ananias and Sapphira became the first hypocrites in the church and God executed them as a testimony against their misuse of money and deceit.
For money, Judas betrayed and sold out Jesus!
1. To bring Israel to the point where she has lost control of her own destiny, like a person swept away in a flood and drowned.
2. To destroy Israel, so that Israel has no future.
They will maintain control of their lives in this crisis and they will continue to make decisions from a position of strength, and for those reasons, they will be able to survive.
They are alive in the midst of the flood but they can see the whole picture.
PHI 1:21 if I live, it is for Christ, likewise dying is profit.
DAN 3:25-26 “Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of God. They came out of the midst of the fire and the fire had no effect on their bodies nor was the hair of their head burnt, nor were their trousers damaged, nor had the smell of fire {even} come upon them.
The analogy of the flood or the rapids refers to the wind blowing from one direction and then another.
Those who advance through P.M.A. of B.D. will continue in the greatest adversity to have a personal sense of destiny, to maintain control of their own lives, and continue to make good decisions from a position of strength.

Those Jews who had believed in Christ, and advanced through the P.M.A. of B.D., will continue in the greatest adversity to have a personal sense of destiny, maintain control of their own lives, and make good decisions from a position of strength.
Israel only has a personal sense of destiny when related to Jesus Christ, the God of Israel, and when not related to Jesus Christ, the Jews flounder in their terrible attacks from Satan - holocaust.
1. To be a racial Jew and to reject Jesus Christ as Savior substitutes arrogance for a personal sense of destiny, and arrogance destroys personal sense of destiny, or gives a false personal sense of destiny.
2. Apart from faith in Christ, no one can have a personal sense of destiny, for the plan of God begins at the cross; therefore being a racial Jew is not being a true Jew, until one is born again by faith in Jesus Christ.
3. True Israel is regenerate Israel, and only true Israel will not lose its sense of destiny or control of their personal lives; so many, many unbelievers among the Jews are going to die in that terrible holocaust just as they have died in past holocausts.
4. Waters - floodwaters, or rapids, or tidal waves, or any great flow of water, which has a power representing the principle of great adversity.
5. The attack of the third demon assault army, the Devil’s guards, are pictured as a wall of water pursuing Israel, to be overtaken by the wall of water, a tidal wave or flood or rapids, and drowning = destruction of Israel by analogy.
No matter how great the historical disaster, God always delivers winners.
Winners have their survival kit built up and constructed in their soul through the perception of Bible doctrine, and with this they have that innate ability to be flexible in every circumstance of disaster.
This time instead of the analogy of disaster,
verse 15, we have the analogy of deliverance.
Earth - ge = the country, earth, ground, land, world.
Land = safety from water; in the analogy, God provides safety for Israel during the greatest holocaust of history.
The land = the protection of God in the literal land of Edom, Moab and Ammon, DAN 11:41. It refers to the mountains of MAT 24:16, and the high desert country of REV 12:14.

God always provides a designated area for safety.
ZEC 2:5 For I, declares the Lord, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.
In the analogy, there is more land mass than the flood, water or rapids, and this becomes a picture of divine deliverance of Israel, during the greatest holocaust of their history.
The land can be construed both literally and figuratively and still communicates the concept of God’s faithfulness to Israel, their deliverance from the flood waters of anti-Semitism, both in the future as well as now.
To help - aor-act-ind - boetheo = to help, furnish aid, provide aid.
When you have tried everything to try to find a way of escape in time of historical disaster, you must remember that God has a plan for your life and that plan includes being in the right place at the right time.
There could be historical disaster economically, or socially, or from the standpoint of the military, from warfare.
His plan and His purpose = He will deliver you in time of historical disaster, provided that the historical disaster is not used for your punishment.
Deliverance is not physical, deliverance is in the soul for those in the plan of God, and if God is not using disaster to punish you, He is using disaster to demonstrate His power, His grace, and His deliverance.

The analogy to water in the form of flooding represents a tremendous power of Satan in the form of the attack of his demon assault army.
The land mass represents the power of God, which depletes and neutralizes the violence of historical disaster.
The strong current of the water does not have power over the stable land mass.
“Opened” - aor-act-ind - anoigo = to open.
With conjunction kai = “in fact, the land mass opened.”
Aor-act-ind - katapino = to swallow, drink up, devour.
Flood waters - the power of Satan, the attack of the third demon assault army.
The land mass represents the power of God, protecting Israel in the greatest hour of its need, the holocaust of the Tribulation, the time of the devil’s desperation.
These certain blessings include the fact that they have in the Abrahamic, Palestinian, Davidic, and New Covenants to Israel certain things that are not to be fulfilled until the Second Advent.
All Satanic attacks are made against the grace of God.
One of the greatest of all satanic attacks against the grace of God is religion.
Religion is not the same as Christianity, Rev 17-18; ecumenical religion of the Tribulation, under the power of Satan, is also attacking the grace of God.
He will have the power, the fantastic power of flooding as used here, or a tidal wave, or rapids, or any other form of uncontrolled violence in water.
Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world, 1JO 4:4b.
Not only will they be delivered, but they are going to have one thousand years of great blessing to follow that.
The grace principle is the key to the land mass.

Those that are disembodied spirits and those that have bodies.
Just as land mass dissipates eventually the power of flood waters or tidal waves or any water type violence, so the land mass as the power of God neutralizes the violent attack of the third demon assault army.

Being in the right place at the right time is often the key to success.
Residence, function, momentum inside of the PPOG.
Abraham entered into reversionism from not being in the right place at the right time, GEN 12:10-20, he went to Egypt; and, GEN 20:1-18, Gerar.
David’s real problems began by being in the wrong geographical location, operation Bathsheba, 2SA 11:1, Then it happened in the spring, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel, and they destroyed the sons of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem.
Many times a geographical change is necessary for spiritual growth.
In the life of Abraham, the change of geographical location was the basis for separating Abraham from his family and relatives.
If believers are doing what God wants them to do, then they will eventually wind up in the place where God wants them to be. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time means no divine revelation.
There are environments and human associations which are detrimental, hazardous, to the concentration of the word of God.
Whether the hindrances are geographical or personal, friend and social distractions which would keep you from the daily function of perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine.
There is only one place to be and that is the place where the provision is -the place of wisdom.
You can be in the dungeon during your entire Christian life on this earth, and that means you will be in the right place at the right time for discipline.
David would still be a shepherd and we would never have heard of David, had it not been for the fact that he was in the plan of God.

PRO 12:4 a wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.
PRO 18:22 He who finds a virtuous woman finds a good thing, And obtains grace from the Lord.
PRO 31:10 A virtuous woman, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels.
The greatest time of historical disaster in the history of the human race is the last half of the Tribulation - the time of the devil’s desperation.
1. Attraction is the observation stage of the relationship between the man and woman.
2. This is the blind stage of the man-woman relationship because man and woman are attracted to each other on the basis of superficial norms and standards - such as physical appearance, public personality, success, profile, social status, or lust.
3. Attraction is also based on the ability of the opposite sex to implement and compliment existing areas of arrogance.
People are often attracted to those who patronize them.
4. Attraction is a dangerous stage because it is accompanied by tunnel vision, in which one often ignores, or sets aside the potential or observable flaws in the object of attraction.
In the attraction stage, love is not blind, it sees more not less; but because it sees more it chooses to see less.
2CO 6:12 You are not hindered by us, but you are hindered by your own emotions.
5. Attraction is dangerous because it is related to peer pressure, rejection of reality, immature standards and dependency rather than independent thinking.
Dependent thinking = you base the attraction on the opinion of others, rather than your own standards.
You are not attracted to him on the basis of his own innate abilities, but you are attracted to him on the basis of the fact that everyone else thinks he is great.
6. People who get married in this stage have very little success or very little chance of success in their relationship.
a. COL 3:18 Wives, be obedient to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
b. EPH 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her;

7. Most marriages which occur in the attraction stage end up in the divorce courts, or suicide, or grimly sticking it out. Marriage becomes the state of perpetuating misery.
When you have in a national entity a maximum number of people in any generation who marry in the attraction stage you are going to produce degeneracy in society.
Historical confusion becomes historical adversity.
Attraction is a means to an end, but attraction is never an end in itself.
1. Compatibility is that stage of man-woman relationship where friendship develops between two members of the opposite sex.
2. Attraction has no permanent results unless friendship develops into the compatibility stage.
As the attraction stage is the dangerous stage, the compatibility stage is the stage where wisdom begins, but hopefully does not end.
3. Love cannot be perpetuated between a man and a woman unless they are friends as well as lovers.
4. Compatibility is that stage classified as accurate knowledge of the object to which you are attracted.
5. Compatibility includes knowing the weaknesses of the one you love, as well as their strengths, or assets.
6. Compatibility is that stage of category two love, right man-right woman, where conflict and disagreement exist, but in no way jeopardize or injure the relationship.

They survived because they had doctrine resident in their souls and they were flexible.
Pres-act-part – tereo = to guard, to protect; they kept observing.
Accusative plural direct object – entole – “commandments” = the mandates of doctrine,
the precepts of God or the divine prescriptions.
Testimony – accusative singular direct object – marturia = the testimony of their life, as well as the lips – their testimony before God, their testimony before angels primarily, and their testimony before the world.
1. Bible doctrine in the right lobe of the mentality of the soul is the greatest power in life.
2. So it is with these Jewish believers who are delivered in the last half of the Tribulation, through perception and application of doctrine they obey the mandates of God.
3. Through perception and application of doctrine they keep on having a witness or testimony for our Lord Jesus Christ before man but most of all before God.
4. While Satan is a genius and the ruler of this world, he cannot contend with the active power of Bible doctrine perceived and applied in his domain, the world.
5. Doctrine is useless unless it is loaded into the gun, the right lobe of the soul – epignosis doctrine is the only doctrine that can be applied.
Through regeneration and perception of doctrine, man, as a believer, is able to contend with the fallen angels and their attacks on the human race.
Believers in the Tribulation will face both angelic attacks and demonic attacks, one is visible, the other is invisible.

Bad decisions resulted in his being thrown out of heaven forever in the middle of the Tribulation.
It is inevitable, in our time on earth that all our bad decisions will have very painful repercussions apart from the overruling grace of God, which occurs under certain conditions of rebound and continued residence in the PPOG.
Bad decisions from a position of weakness, resulted in his confinement to planet earth during the last half of the Tribulation, the time of the devil’s desperation.
