Stewardship - noun okoinomia = dispensation.
When Jesus Christ came in the flesh, the incarnation, He came as the God-man.
JOH 1:14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty),
- AMP
JOH 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.
- YLT
We have the Shekinah glory indwelling the humanity of Christ in order for Him to achieve impeccability and be qualified to go to the cross and die for our sins.
When the Church-age came we have the Shekinah glory indwelling the body of every believer.
The manifestation or the reflection of His glory was seen in the cloud and the pillar of fire and other theophanies.
While Jesus Christ indwelling our bodies cannot be seen, there are certain conditions in which the manifestations of His glory can be seen.
MAT 7:16 “You will know them [God’s people] by their fruits.”
JOH 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
JOH 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
JOH 15:8 By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and {so} prove to be My disciples.
He even warned pastors not to make the mistake of mixing dispensations, 2TI 2:15.
1. The baptism of the Spirit.
2. The predesigned plan of God.
3. Mystery doctrine.
4. Escrow blessings.
5. The equality factor.
6. The royal commissions.
7. The indwelling of the Trinity.
8. The availability of divine power.
9. The absence of prophecy.
10. The principles of becoming a spiritual champion or invisible heroes.
EPH 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
The lifestyle of the filling of the Spirit would called “walking by means of the Spirit,” GAL 5:16.
Saints - dative of advantage - hagios.
You are a hagios, a saint, or someone who has been “set apart” for God for a special purpose.
1CO 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
1JO 4:9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
God always makes His will known to those who desire to know it, JER 29:13, JOH 7:17.
The greatest complication in the spiritual life is simply ignorance.
“If God be for us who shall be against us?”
Long before man existed, long before angels existed and the creation of the universe, God’s glory eternally existed.
“Goy” = Hebrew word for the Gentiles.
Glory - possessive genitive - “doxes” - dovxh" = the wealth or the riches belongs to someone.
Here it is Jesus Christ, the Shekinah glory of Israel, who lived in the holy of holies, EXO 25:21-22; LEV 26:11-12; PSA 91:1; HEB 9:5.
PSA 139:12 Even the darkness is not dark to Thee, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to Thee.
HEB 9:5 “And above the ark of the covenant, the cherubs of glory overshadowing the mercy seat.”
ISA 37:16 “O Lord of the armies, the God of Israel, who art enthroned above the cherubim, Thou art the God, Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. Thou hast made heaven and earth.”
PSA 99:1 “The Lord rules. He sits between the cherubs.”
