If our personal lives are disordered, others’ lives will also be in disarray.

JOH 15:9 -11, “I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love. That’s what I’ve done - kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in his love. I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy or happiness might be your joy or happiness, and fully matured.”

JOH 15:12-15, “This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.”

JOH 15:16-19 “You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, He gives you. But remember the root command: Love one another. If you find the godless world is hating you, remember it got its start hating me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you.”

JOH 15:20-21 “When that happens, remember this: Servants don’t get better treatment than their masters. If they beat on me, they will certainly beat on you. If they did what I told them, they will do what you tell them. They are going to do all these things to you because of the way they treated me, because they don’t know the One who sent me.”

There is the ministry itself, working with others, planning activities, studying, thinking, working things through, etc.
There’s the monotony of doing the same things day after day - dozens of tedious endeavors, the details of life.

There is our own everyday job of fighting temptation, suppressing some of our desires and passions, working with God to correct our OWN faults.

In the best scenario, what is really needed is a regular, specific time and place to study and read His Word, to pray, to worship, a place from which we can practice God’s presence through the day.

1. Nine of the ten costliest insurance events in U.S. history.
2. Seven of the eight costliest hurricanes in U.S. history.
3. Three of the four largest tornado outbreaks in U.S. history.
4. Nine of the top ten natural disasters in U.S. history.
5. The two largest terrorism events in U.S. history.

All of these major catastrophes transpired ever since presidents Bush, Clinton, and Bush started applying pressure on Israel to trade her land for promises of “peace and security,” sponsoring major “land for peace” meetings, making major public statements pertaining to Israel’s covenant land and-or calling for a Palestinian state.

ZEC 12:9 “And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization.
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq.

6. Isaac’s wife Rebekah was from Nahor, in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion’s den in Iraq.
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (TLJC had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace.)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon, saw the “writing on the wall” in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The “Empire of Man” described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq.

Which nation is second?
It is Iraq, sometimes called in the Bible Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia.

Without solitude, it is virtually impossible to live a spiritual life.
Solitude begins with a time and place for God, and Him alone.

The only way to survive in ministry is to be interested in the ministry and to be interested only in TLJC as you remain in His plan.

Something or someone always opposes us; and our best resolutions go astray; we find it hard to get to that secret place and shut the door.

GEN 32:24 Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.

It is not until Jacob is left alone with the Lord that his name is changed to Israel, a prince with God.

GAL 6:5 For each one shall bear his own load.
MAT 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”

2CH 32:31 - God left Hezekiah “alone to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.”
JOH 8:9 - it was not until the woman caught in adultery was left alone with the Lord that she was set free.

JOH 16:32 “Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.”

To be left alone with God is the only true way of arriving at an accurate knowledge of ourselves and our ways.

“Abiding with Christ” - the keyword or the key term is abide; it appears 10 times in the first eleven verses.
Verses 12-17 - the relationships of the believer with believer and the key word is Love.
It appears 4 times in these 6 verses.

Through a love relationship there is communion; we have communion with one another because we have union with our Lord.

The key word is hate; it appears 8 times in 10 verses.
That is what we can expect from a world that is out of touch with God and out of union with TLJC, because there is disunion between the believer and the world.

There is union with Christ and union with fellow believers, but because of this hate there is disunion with the world.

Jesus says something regarding position, in verses 1-8, and then He says something regarding production, in verses 9-17, and they are not the same, they are mutually exclusive.

You are placed in Christ, you are made a branch of the vine at salvation, you are in Christ, and thereby a new creation built from within to without a whole new creature.

You are to abide so that fruit naturally flows; one has to do with position if you are in Christ, the other has to do with fruit bearing.

“Ho kosmos” = “the world.”
“The world” is not the word ge - the earth’s surface, the structure of the earth.

Kosmos = an organized system.
“The world” = a system of thought.

It is a system of thought designed by Satan himself, who is the greatest creature genius, of all creature history.

It includes everything from religion, to systems of government, political thought, concepts of life.

1. The kosmos or the world = a system of thought, an organized system of thought.
2. The world = a system of organizations.

Organizations, like international organizations, religious organizations, and so on.

3. The kosmos or the world = a system of people, or a category of people.
“World” - used for the unbelievers, Joh 17.

Worldliness = when a believer continues to go negative toward doctrine, and then creates scar tissue on the left bank of the soul, the mind, and then you open up the mataiotes, a vacuum in the heart, and through mataiotes comes human viewpoint, and human viewpoint in the soul is exhaled out the right bank, the heart is worldliness.

a. A system of thought, satanic.
b. Organizations, satanic, like international organizations.
c. The world of unbelievers.

1. Verse 18 - the kosmos system hates Christ.

If - conjunction ei [first class condition] - “if, and it does” + “world” - kosmos = “if the world hates you, and it does” = there are systems of thought in the kosmos that are antagonistic toward your way of thinking when you think like TLJC.

2. Satanic organizations that are antagonistic to Jesus Christ.
3. People who are antagonistic toward Jesus Christ.

He is the ruler of the world, and because God knew that Satan would be the ruler of this world, God designed certain things to protect the human race in Satan’s rule.

Under this God must protect the human race, so that it can go from creation to the end of the world, and still have a human race.

In order for the angelic conflict to be resolved, certain increments of history must be fulfilled.
O.T. dispensations, the cross, resurrection, ascension, session, glorification of Christ, the intensification of the angelic conflict in the Church-age, in the tribulation, Second Advent, and Millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

There is another restrainer in the world during the intensification stage of the Church-age - the ministry of the Holy Spirit, 2TH 2:7.

There are two counter actions to Satan’s rule, as far as people are concerned:
1. The divine institutions.
2. The whole concept of the spiritual life.

a. Volition, human freedom and privacy.

No two people have the same abilities; we are not born equals, we do not live equal, and we do not die equal.
There is no equality in the human race except in Christianity; there is unity with the Lord Jesus Christ at the moment of salvation when equal privilege and equal opportunity are given.

When you are born again, as a priest, you also have privacy from your priesthood.

b. Marriage - the framework for category two love, and it becomes a basic stabilizer of the human race.
c. Family - the basis of protecting the human race.

The moment a member of the human race is born, category homosapien, he is the most helpless, the most useless of all the born creatures of any kind.

d. Nationalism.

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 99. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine. Part 2.

Thursday, October 6, 2005

Hate is what we can expect from a world that is out of touch with God and out of union with TLJC because there is disunion between the believer and the world.

The world is the Kosmos = an organized system.

2. Kosmos is a system of thought designed by Satan himself, who is the greatest creature genius, of all creature history.
Kosmos = a system of organizations.

3. The kosmos or the world = a system of people, or a category of people.
“World” - used for the unbelievers, Joh 17.

a. A system of thought, satanic.
b. Organizations, satanic, like international organizations.
c. The world of unbelievers.

The one who rules the kosmos is Satan; ISA 14:12-17, EZE 28:11-19, JOH 8:44, 1JO 3:8, describe the person of Satan, the greatest genius of all creatures.

He is an organizational genius with a great organization of demons, EPH 6:10-12.

He is the originator of murder and violence in the human race, GEN 5:4-11; JOH 8:44, 1JO 3:12.
He hates the communication of Bible doctrine, MAT 13:9,39, REV 12:13,15, and attacks your capacity for life.

He is the enemy of the Church (the Royal Family), REV 12:9-13, 24.
He is the enemy of Christ, REV 12:4.
Satan is the enemy of Israel. All anti-Semitism is satanic, REV 12:4,13,15.

Satan is even the enemy of all unbelievers. He is the greatest deceiver of all time. In 2CO 4:3-4, he blinds the minds of unbelievers, which is demon influence or the demonization of the soul.

2CO 4:1 Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we’re not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times.

2CO 4:2 We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don’t maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don’t twist God’s Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God.

Satan also manipulates nations, REV 12:9,23; 20:3,8.

1. The mental will of God, doctrine, EPH 4:14.
2. The geographical will of God for you, 1TH 2:18.
3. The operational will of God for you, JAM 4:7-8; GAL 5:7.

Worry, fear, anxiety, mental attitude sins, and reaction to historical disaster, 1PE 5:7-9.

Getting the believer to be disobedient to the Word and the Pastor’s authority involved in teaching it.

Ignoring doctrine you have learned, 1CH 21:1.

a. Satan causes you to get your eyes on people, GEN 19:28; GEN 20:1; JER 17:5.
b. He causes you to get your eyes on self, 1KI 19:10; 1CO 1:10-11.
c. He causes you to get your eyes on things, HEB 13:5-6.

d. He tries to get the believer to become involved in improvement of his (Satan’s) world through improving the environment, “the greatest good for the greatest number,” socialism, social action, the social Gospel, welfare state, and temporal solutions to man’s problems.

e. He sponsors fear regarding death, HEB 2:14-15, because he knows fear kills thought.

Religion is the creation of Satan promoting the use of his own merits, his own works to gain the approbation of God.

Satan’s counterfeits of the PPOG in religion include a counterfeit:
1. Gospel, 2CO 4:3-4.
2. Ministers, 2CO 11:13-15.
3. Doctrines, 1TI 4:1.
4. Communion table, 1CO 10:19-21.
5. Spirituality, GAL 3:2-3.

6. Righteousness, MAT 19:16-28.
7. Legalism, MAT 23:13-36.
8. Power and dynamics (miracles, healing, tongues), 2TH 2:8-10.
9. System of gods, 2TH 2:3-4.

Hate - pres-act-ind - misei - misei' = strongest word for hate in the Greek language.

It is an intense hatred by its structure and it expresses the intensity of the antagonism of mental attitude and a thought pattern.

There is a system of thought that despises you, and part of that system of thought is legalism and religionism, and do-goodism, and bleeding-heartism, and all the rest of it.

The true attitude of kosmos diabolicos toward the believer is an intensified implacability hatred system - “miseo.”

Active voice = the kosmos system will always hate you; the indicative mood is the reality, face it.

To know - indicative mood used as an imperative, with the present tense = “you keep on knowing.”

Before the Church-age existed with the believer priest in the intensified stage, the kosmos system always hated Christ; it hated Christ from GEN 3:15, until His resurrection and session.

Christ is gone and every believer who is still on the earth in the intensified stage angelic conflict is now a target, always will be a target; there never will be a time when you will not be a target.

It is a type of thought; it is a thought, it is a system, it involves certain people.

That system is religionism, that system is legalism, and it despises you, and as soon as you learn a little grace, you are going to see from what directions you are being shot at.

GAL 4:29 But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.

1. Because the kosmos system hates Christ, and we are related to Christ.
Because it hated Christ before us.

2. Because once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world.
COL 1:13 For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
PHI 3:20 For our citizenship [politeuma, or heavenly privilege] exists in heaven, from which place we eagerly anticipate the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

“You were” = imperf-act-subj - en
If you were from the world, literally, and you are not.

Love - imperf-act- ind - ephilei - e*fivlei = a personal rapport love.

“Next to the lie itself, the greatest delusion that God imposes reaching to all unsaved, and to a large portion of Christians is the supposition that only such things that society considers evil could originate from the devil.”

“It is not the reason of man, but the revelation of God, which points out that governments, morals, education, art, commercialism, vast enterprises and organizations and much religious activity are included in kosmos diabolicos.”

Kosmos diabolicos = that system which Satan has constructed and includes all of the good (human good) which he can incorporate into it, and be consistent with the things he aims to accomplish.

A serious question arises; whether the presence of gross evil in the world is due to Satan’s intention to have it so, or whether it indicates Satan’s inability to execute all that he has designed. The probability is great that Satan’s ambition has led him to undertake more than any creature could ever administer.

Revelation declares that the whole kosmos system must be annihilated, not its evil alone, but all that is in it, both good and evil. God will incorporate nothing of Satan’s failure into the kingdom which He has set up on earth.

God will incorporate nothing of Satan’s failure into the kingdom which He has set up on earth.
At this time that kingdom is the church, born again believers, the Church-age.

God will not permit anything in His plan that has its origin from Satan, including human good, reform, revolutions, and a lot of things that you may condone as an individual believer, lacking discernment.

Since the day of your salvation, you have been in union with Christ, you are in the plan of God by the baptism of the Spirit, by all of the 40 things or more that happened at the moment of salvation.

The kosmos must therefore hate the believer, hate doctrine, hate anything that causes the believer to stand up to the kosmos system.

There is a difference between loving the souls of men, witnessing therefore, and the system under which men operate.

JOH 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Billions and billions of years ago, when election was put into operation, EPH 1:4-5, you were snatched out of the kosmos or the cosmic system.

Whatever Satan thinks of you up to that moment, he despises you the second that you believe in Christ.

Pres-act-ind - miseo = it keeps on hating.

2TI 2:15 Be diligent in studying to present yourself approved to God, as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth.
2TI 4:2 Preach the Word. Be ready in season and out of season. Therefore, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all patience and instruction.

That is what we can expect from a world that is out of touch with God and out of union with TLJC because there is disunion between the believer and the world.

There is union with Christ and union with fellow believers, but because of this hate there is disunion with the world.

In one second of time at the moment of salvation, whatever Satan thinks of you up to that moment, he despises you the second that you believe in Christ.

Not only does he despise you, but the whole system despises you.

Pres-act-ind - misei - misei = it keeps on hating you.

chart2

There must be stability to stand up under this, and the stability is the erected structure of the soul, that causes you to stand up under the intense hatred, miseo of Satan, in kosmos diabolicos, and the agapao, love of God.

chart3

PHI 1:29 Because to you it has been graciously given with reference concerning Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on behalf of Him,
ROM 8:36 Just as it is written, “For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long [going through situations of death from the cosmos]; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

EPH 6:10-11 From now on, start becoming strong by means of the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground against the schemes or the strategies of the devil.

EPH 6:12 Because our struggle is not against blood [people’s souls] and flesh [their old sin nature], but against the rulers [archons like Abaddon and Beelzebub], against the powers [demon officers who have phenomenal authority], against - the world forces of this darkness [kosmokratoras - demons who specialize in possessing or influencing the cosmos or world rulers] against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places[spiritual forces of evil in the atmosphere around the earth, the stellar universe and in the presence of God].

EPH 6:13-14 Because of this, pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground in the day when evil attacks you, even after you have achieved or accomplished everything, hold your ground. Because of this, hold your ground, [after you] have buckled on your combat gear around your waist by means of doctrine, and [after you] have put on the breastplate of righteousness,

EPH 6:15-18 [hold your ground] after you have put on your combat boots on your feet with readiness, preparation, or the equipment of the gospel of peace, in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

(EPH 6:10) And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. (EPH 6:11) So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. (EPH 6:12) This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

(EPH 6:13) Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. (EPH 6:14) Truth, righteousness, (EPH 6:15) peace, (EPH 6:16) faith, (EPH 6:17) and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon.

(EPH 6:18) In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

You have inner happiness, you have a relaxed mental attitude, you have the capacity to love in all three categories, and you have the mastery of the details of life.

MAT 10:38 “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.”
LUK 9:23 And He was saying to {them} all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

Once you identify with someone and they become rejected by others, then it is only a matter of time when you will be rejected because of your identification with them.

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 102. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine, Part 5. Royal Ambassadorship.

Key word - “hate” - appears 8 times in 10 verses; that is what we can expect from a world that is out of touch with God and out of union with TLJC because there is disunion between the believer and the world.

1. Verse 18 - because the kosmos system hates Christ.
2. Because once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world.
3. Verse 20 - the slave is not greater than His master.

“Remember” - pres-act-imp - mnemoneuo = a command to call to mind something that you have learned, something that you already know.

chart3

Once you identify with someone and they become rejected by others, then it is only a matter of time before you will be rejected because of your identification with them.

Pres-act-imp = a command.

Jesus has already said this before, that the servant is not greater than the master, JOH 13:16, MAT 10:24.

First class condition [true] - dioko = to pursue, to put pressure on, to persecute.
Aorist tense = certain points of time are all gathered up now into one ball of wax.

“If they have persecuted Me” - Future tense - dioko = they will also persecute you.

Once Christ leaves the earth, then the individual believer becomes the recipient of the intensification of the angelic conflict.

First class condition [true] - “to keep” - tereo = to guard something that belongs to self.
1. The gospel.
2. The divine institutions.

“If” = many who are in kosmos diabolicos came out of it by faith in Christ, and they accepted what Christ taught, and when Christ goes up the apostles are going to find themselves with a nucleus to begin the Church-age.
The servant is not greater than his master, and for this reason, the kosmos hates the believer.

The Doctrine of Ambassadorship.
Point 1. Definition and Description.
An ambassador is a high ranking minister of state or of royalty sent to another state to represent his sovereign or country.

By analogy we are spiritual aristocracy as members of the Royal Family of God, and Christ is the King who has sent us into a foreign country, the cosmic world.

At salvation, every believer enters the Royal Family of God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and at the same time he becomes a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth.

Every Church-age believer is Royal Family of God representing the King of kings and Lord of lords during his time on this earth.

Two commissions are given to the believer at salvation.
1. Royal priesthood, part of the equal privilege of election.
2. Royal ambassadorship, part of the equal privilege of predestination.

Differences of function depend on differences of spiritual gifts, stages of spiritual growth, historical circumstances (prevalence of positive or negative volition), and environment at any given moment.

In addition to the mandates of scripture, there are many avenues of expressing your ambassadorship, such as utilizing the faith-rest drill and virtue-love as a problem-solving device with emphasis on spiritual self-esteem.

Point 2. The Profile of the Ambassador.
a. An ambassador does not appoint himself.

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 103. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine, Part 6. Royal Ambassadorship.

1. Because the kosmos system hates Christ, JOH 15:18.
2. Because once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world, JOH 15:19.
3. Verse 20 - the slave is not greater than his master.

Point 2. The Profile of the Ambassador.
a. An ambassador does not appoint himself.
God also gives us the power and ability to handle the job, ACT 1:8, HEB 4:12; PHI 4:13.

b. The ambassador does not support himself.
The Church-age believer, as an ambassador for Christ, is provided by logistical grace.

c. The ambassador’s instructions are always in written form, so he has no doubt as to what he should do.
We have the policies, problem-solving devices, instructions, principles, doctrines, and concepts in written form in the scripture.

d. The ambassador does not belong to the country to which he is sent.
COL 1:13 For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

PHI 3:20 For our citizenship [politeuma, or heavenly privilege] exists in heaven, from which place we eagerly anticipate the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
GAL 4:26 But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother.
EPH 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,

JOH 15:19 “If you were of the world [second class condition, but you are not], the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Billions and billions of years ago, when election was put into operation, EPH 1:4-5, you were snatched out of the kosmos or the cosmic system.

e. The ambassador does not live in the foreign country for his own personal interest.

We subordinate all personal interest to the function of our ambassadorship, which includes the attainment and function of the spiritual skills, the filling of the Spirit, cognition of Bible doctrine, and execution of the PPOG.

Our production skills, which include our ambassadorship, are in place as of the moment of salvation, but are not effective until we develop spiritual skills.

f. The ambassador does not treat any insult to himself as personal.
g. When an ambassador is recalled, his recall is tantamount to a declaration of war.

When the Rapture of the Church takes place in 1TH 4:16-17, all of our Lord’s ambassadors are recalled back to heaven -
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”

1TH 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.

The Tribulation period begins - analogous to the period of war.

Point 3. The Royal Ambassadorship is Specialized and Intensified in the Gift of Pastor-teacher.

There is a special need for those who communicate doctrine to do so with confidence.

With spiritual self-esteem the communicator speaks with confidence no matter what the attitude of his listeners.

Point 4. The Royal Ambassadorship is also Related to Evangelism, 2CO 5:20.

We are not to witness only through our lifestyle. That is cowardice.

Royal Ambassadorship.

Friday, October 14, 2005

JOH 15:20 “Remember the word [doctrine] that I have spoken unto you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.”

The Doctrine of the Royal Ambassadorship.
Point 1. Definition and Description.
Point 2. The Profile of the Ambassador.
Point 3. The Royal Ambassadorship is Specialized and Intensified in the Gift of Pastor-teacher.

Point 4. The Royal Ambassadorship is also Related to Personal Evangelism, 2CO 5:20.

Our decision as an ambassador is to work from this one focused point:
One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat.

“Is” - pres-act-ind -
Eimi = He is always the Savior.

“Savior” - Soter = everything that TLJC did on the cross.
Propitiation is the Godward side of salvation whereby the essence of God is satisfied with the salvational work of TLJC.

“Whosoever believes” - over 45 times in the N.T.
“All men” = the unlimited atonement.

1JO 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
ROM 11:15 - God reconciled the world unto Himself.

Regardless of race, culture, nationality, or sex, our Lord Jesus Christ had absolutely no prejudice.
He died for the sins of the whole world or the sins of every person who would ever live, and that immediately destroyed the barrier between God and man (doctrine of reconciliation).

The unlimited atonement = no matter what anyone says about the superiority of their race or their culture, or any expression of prejudice of any kind, our Lord set the pattern - no prejudice,
GAL 3:28, There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

God solved the problem that the world had with Himself through the Messiah, giving the world a brand new life by offering forgiveness of sins.

Occupation with TLJC is one of the first giant steps for the Christian way of life.

Controls - pres-act-ind - Sunecho = to hold something together so that it does not fall apart.

Sunecho = to overpower or to rule; it connotes motivation for the believer, a thought or a doctrine that overrules the soul.

Once you reach personal love for God and SSE, from then on you are motivated by your thoughts or by what you think.

Christ did not die just for you nor did He die just for the “elect” - He died for everyone.

Conclude - aor-act-part - Krino = to judge, to reach a conclusion.

Paul reached this conclusion concerning the unlimited atonement in 2CO 5:14-15; 1TI 2:6; 4:10; TIT 2:11.
Peter reached this conclusion, 2PE 2:1; 3:9.

John reached this conclusion, JOH 3:16; 1JO 2:2; 4:14.
The writer of Hebrews reached this conclusion in HEB 2:9.

The content of their conclusion is revealed by the conjunction Hoti = “that.”

“Died” - aor-act-ind - apothenesko = the spiritual death of Christ on the cross.

Under the law of consequence, sin will have repercussion in all directions.

ACT 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved.”

1. The cross, where all sins were judged.
2. The law of volitional responsibility.

Huper + genitive of advantage - adjective Pas = “for all.”

“Then” = from the first conclusion comes a second conclusion; Paul is saying we have reached this conclusion that if one died on behalf of all then a second conclusion, “we are all dead.”

“Dead” - aor-act-ind - apothenesko = spiritual death.

The moment Adam’s sin was imputed to us (at physical birth) we were spiritually dead.
In Adam all die, 1CO 15:22.

Man manufactures problems; God solves them!

MAT 7:14 “For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.”

Unlimited atonement = God provides eternal salvation for all members of the human race without exception.

God selects mankind at birth to live.

1. Verse 18 - because the kosmos system hates Christ.

LUK 14:16-20 Jesus said, “For there was once a man who threw a great dinner party and invited many. When it was time for dinner, he sent out his servant to the invited guests, saying, ‘Come on in; the food’s on the table. Then they all began to beg off, one after another making excuses. The first said, ‘I bought a piece of property and need to look it over. Send my regrets. Another said, ‘I just bought five teams of oxen, and I really need to check them out. Send my regrets. And yet another said, ‘I just got married and need to get home to my wife.’”

2. Because once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world.
3. Verse 20 - the slave is not greater than his master.

Point 2. The Profile of the Ambassador.
a. An ambassador does not appoint himself.
b. The ambassador does not support himself.
The Church-age believer, as an ambassador for Christ, is provided for by logistical grace.

PHI 4:19 And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

c. The ambassador’s instructions are always in written form, so he has no doubt as to what he should do.

ROM 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

d. The ambassador does not belong to the country to which he is sent.
e. The ambassador does not live in the foreign country for his own personal interest.
f. The ambassador does not treat any insult to himself as personal.

MAT 5:11 “Blessed are you when {men} cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me.”
LUK 6:22 “Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and cast insults at you, and spurn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.”

2CO 12:10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

g. When an ambassador is recalled, his recall is tantamount to a declaration of war.

Point 3. The Royal Ambassadorship is Specialized and Intensified in the Gift of Pastor-teacher.
There is a special need for those who communicate doctrine to do so with confidence.

Point 4. The Royal Ambassadorship is also Related to Your Personal Evangelism, 2CO 5:20.

Occupation with TLJC is one of the first giant steps for the Christian way of life.
Without this giant step there is no way we are going to advance to maturity and receive the distribution of those fantastic blessings from your escrow account.

One of the first signs that you are getting somewhere in your spiritual life is the complete change in your spiritual motivation.

REV 3:11 I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.
EPH 6:13 Because of this, pick up and put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day,

“To resist” - aor-act-inf - antistenai - a*ntisth'nai
= to hold your ground against, to resist, or to take defensive action against.

2CO 2:11 “That no advantage be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his strategies.”
EPH 6:11 Pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground against the schemes or the strategies of the devil.
EPH 4:27 do not give an opportunity to the devil.

1PE 5:8-9 Attain spiritual self-esteem, be alert, your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for some believer to devour; therefore, hold your ground against him standing firm in doctrine.

When you take defensive action by the utilization of this equipment, Satan will flee from you.

Point 4. The Royal Ambassadorship is also Related to Your Personal Evangelism, 2CO 5:20.

He included everyone in His death so that everyone could also be included in His life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.

We are not to witness only through our lifestyle.
That is cowardice.

PSA 81:10 I, the Lord, am your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt [bondage from the cosmic system]; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.

Point 5. The Royal Ambassadorship Mandates the Function of Spiritual Self-esteem and Impersonal Love,PHM 1:9.

PHM 1:9-11 but I’d rather make it a personal request. While here in jail, I’ve fathered a child, so to speak. And here he is, hand-carrying this letter--Onesimus! He was useless to you before; now he’s useful to both of us.

PHM 1:12-19 I’m sending him back to you, but it feels like I’m cutting off my right arm in doing so. I wanted in the worst way to keep him here as your stand-in to help out while I’m in jail for the Message. So if you still consider me a comrade-in-arms, welcome him back as you would me. If he damaged anything or owes you anything, chalk it up to my account. Yet for love’s sake, I rather appeal to you, since I am such a person as Paul, the ambassador, and now a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

When your momentum takes you to personal love for God, you now have spiritual self-esteem.

While personal love for God is the function of our royal priesthood, spiritual self-esteem and impersonal love for man are the functions of our ambassadorship.

EPH 4:32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Every believer makes a pulpit out of his circumstances in every area of life.

Paul is saying, “Since you have now opened up the door to false teaching, do I need another letter of commendation or recommendation before I can enter the congregation?”

The Corinthians were carried away with false doctrines because they would let almost anyone with an exciting personality speak and teach.

They are living letters of flesh manifesting the evangelism, and in some cases even the teaching, of the apostle Paul.

“In” - “by” = written by our hearts or our right lobe.

Your life is either a book on doctrine or disaster.
Your life is either spirituality or legalism.

Grace or arrogance.
Christ or Satan.
Kingdom of God or the kingdom of darkness.

Your life is either life in the pre-designed plan of God or the cosmic system.

The Corinthians are not only Paul’s letter of recommendation from his teaching but an open letter from Christ to the human race.
This letter either calls attention to self which is negative or calls attention to TLJC which is positive.

Growing with a growth which comes from God glorifies TLJC and therefore becomes an open letter to the human race about the life that Christ can give.

Ministered by us - K.J.
Penned by us - Weymouth
Written by us - Phillips
Transcribed by me - Montgomery
Produced by my service - Williams
Prepared by us - Basic English
Delivered by us - TCNT.

The plural used here “by us” = Paul, Timothy, Titus, and Apollos - all of whom had pastored the Corinthian church.

The teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit is the ultimate one responsible for the believer being a letter from TLJC to the entire human race.

1CO 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

Your ambassadorship is basically made up of two factors: how you live, and what you say as a result of what you think.

Point 6. The Royal Ambassadorship is Also Related to the Angelic Conflict.

Elect angels rejoice over the salvation of one person, LUK 15:7,10.

In the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, angels observed every part of the first advent and incarnation of our Lord - 1TI 3:16 “Beheld by angels”

In the dispensation of the Church-age, angels observe members of the Royal Family of God in their failure or success to execute and fulfill the PPOG, 1CO 4:9; EPH 3:10; 1TI 5:21; 1PE 1:12.

Spectacle - nominative neuter singular - theatron = a theater, a place for public shows, a play, a place for the performance of dramatic representations.

EPH 3:10 in order that the multi-faceted or many-sides of the wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.
1TI 5:21 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality.

1PE 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven - things into which angels long to look.

Long - epithumeo = to have a desire for something, to long for, to set the heart upon.

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 107. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine, Part 10. Royal Ambassadorship.

Thursday, October 20, 2005

Point 6. The Royal Ambassadorship is Related to the Angelic Conflict.

Not only does the Church-age believer function as an ambassador for mankind, but he also functions as an ambassador to angelic creatures as well.

Angelic creatures are observing certain aspects of human history.
Elect angels observe human history while fallen angels are designed to oppose human history.

a. Elect angels rejoice over the salvation of one person, LUK 15:7,10.
b. In the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, angels observed every part of the first advent and incarnation of our Lord - 1TI 3:16 - “Beheld by angels”
c. In the dispensation of the Church-age, angels observe members of the Royal Family of God in their failure or success to execute and fulfill the PPOG, 1CO 4:9; EPH 3:10; 1TI 5:21;1PE 1:12.

d. Angels even observe the believers in the Church-age receiving commands from headquarters, 1TI 5:21.
e. Angels also desire and long to look into the things that so many of God’s people take for granted; 1PE 1:12.
f. MAT 18:10 - angels also observe and protect children.
g. 1CO 11:10 - angels observe the attitude that a woman has toward her husband and the example of respect for authority.

Judge - fut-act-ind - krino = to make decisions for, to conclude, to approve, to decree, to rule, to govern, to preside over with the power of giving judicial decisions.

Satan has organized a tremendous demon army to hinder Church-age believers from fulfilling the PPOG.
Fallen angels are organized to resist and oppose positive believers, EPH 6:12-17; JOB 1:6; 2:1-3; 1PE 5:8.

1PE 5:8 Be of sober spirit [Attain S.S.E.], be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

1. To blind the minds of unbelievers so they will not accept Christ.
2. If they do believe in Christ, hinder their function and execution of the PPOG, distract them in every way possible, and keep them from making Bible doctrine their number one priority.

Fallen angels are organized to oppose our ambassadorship, EPH 6:12, and therefore they are opposed to you growing in grace because grace brings glory to God.

Grace = that which is limitless and measureless.
Grace is nothing less than the unlimited love of God expressing itself in measureless blessing.

Point 7. The Ambassador for Christ Must Operate in Dignity.

The dignity of the ambassador should appear in the greatness of the one or the country who sent him. The greater the king, the greater the ambassador should be.

Ambassadors usually have respect from those who respect their master and rejection from those who reject their master.

We are sent to the world as representatives of the Creator of heaven and earth.
We cannot despise the messenger and yet honor the master, LUK 10:16; MAT 10:40; 25:35-40.

LUK 10:16 “The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

Point 8. An Ambassador Should Beware That He Cast No Indignity upon His Office, 1Co 6.

1TH 2:10 You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and uprightly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers;
1TH 5:22 abstain from every form of evil.

In so doing, the ambassador brings honor upon himself and therefore on the one who sent him, rather than reproach upon himself and therefore on the one he represents.

a. Law of Liberty - this law is directed toward one’s own self.
The law of liberty clears my conscience from any guilt or condemnation that might try to take away my liberty,1CO 6:12; ROM 14:1-4.

b. Law of Love - this principle takes other believers into consideration.
I refrain from these liberties myself so others will not see and fall.
As a believer in advanced doctrine I desire to help others and not hurt them, ROM 14:13; 1JO 2:10; 1CO 8:12; 9:12.

c. The Law of Expediency - this law considers the unbeliever.
It is expedient that I have a testimony in my life before the unbelieving world. The unbeliever has set up in his mind, “right and wrong,” standards of conduct for Christians. Therefore I refrain from doing certain things not because they are wrong, but because they can keep the unbeliever from the true issue = Christ died for all our sins, 1CO 9:19-23.

d. Law of Supreme Sacrifice - this law says that there are times when certain believers should refrain from doing some very normal and very legitimate things. So that they can have a maximum effectiveness for TLJC as ambassadors enlisted in His army. 1CO 9:1-5, 19-23.

Point 9. Every ambassador must answer to the king who sent him, LUK 12:48; GAL 6:5; ROM 14:12.

3JO 1:9 I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say.
1CO 2:3 I was among you with much fear and trembling.

2CO 5:11 Knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men.
2CO 5:20 We invite you on behalf of Christ be reconciled to God.

Point 10. The Ambassador Must Also Be Faithful to the One Who Sent Him.

He must be faithful in all things including the little things, MAT 25:21; LUK 16:10.

MAT 25:21 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave; you were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things, enter into the joy of your master.’”
LUK 16:10 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”

JOH 15:19 “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Point 11. An Ambassador Should Protect and Seek the Interests of His Fellow Citizens or Those Who Are in the Foreign Country with Him.

We are not here to compete and compare, 2CO 10:12.

As ambassadors for Christ, as members of His body, as branches with the vine, stones in the same building, sheep of the same flock, priests of the same kingdom, members of the new creation, and a part of His bride we ought to treat each other with the utmost of respect, GAL 6:9-10; MAT 25:40.

MAT 25:40 “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, {even} the least {of them,} you did it to Me.’”

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 108. THE ANTAGONISM OF THE WORLD SYSTEM TOWARD BELIEVERS AND BIBLE DOCTRINE. PART 11.
ROYAL AMBASSADORSHIP

Robert McLaughlin Bible Ministries

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 108. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine. Part 11. Royal Ambassadorship.

Friday, October 21, 2005

1. Verse 18 - the kosmos system hates Christ.
2. Once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world.
3. Verse 20 - the slave is not greater than His master.
4. Because the kosmos is ignorant of the plan of God, JOH 15:21.

“All these things” = Satan who is in the business of exalting self and opposing God.

He has designed systems of religion, culture, politics, education, in order to obscure and to ridicule the plan of God.

He is the author of religion and legalism, and he is doing everything he can to discredit grace, discredit the plan of God, during the Church-age.

He is dioko [persecuting] wherever he can.

No one has ever gloried in the cross of Christ as did Saul of Tarsus, who later on became Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles.

GAL 6:14 But may it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

This one who as a Christian said that he counted all else but dung that he might win Christ, was just as fervent and passionate in the days of his unbelief when as a Jew and a Pharisee he persecuted the Church.

He thought it was his duty to drag Christians to prison, to make them blaspheme the Name of Christ, and if necessary to see to their being stoned, as in the case of Stephen, the Church’s first martyr.

Saul, trembling with astonishment, takes at once the attitude which characterized him the rest of his eventful Christian life, namely, that of a soldier, and says in effect, “Lord, what will You have me to do?”

As to His divine nature, He is the Christ; as to His human nature, He is Jesus.

Had the Lord said, “I am Christ,” the effect would not have been the same.

JOH 4:25 “I know that Messiah is coming and when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.”

What Saul did not believe was that Jesus, rejected and crucified as a blasphemous impostor, was the Christ.

He knew that the glory which had knocked him to the ground was none other than the glory of God, yet the voice was the voice of Jesus.

How did he ever arrive at the position expressed in his Galatian epistle where he declares that he will glory in nothing but the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, saying that there, he, too, had been crucified unto the world and the world unto him?

He needed to reconcile the glory of the vision on the road to Damascus with Golgotha’s shame.

It was revealed to him that although wicked hands had slain TLJC, it was in the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God.

ROM 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1TI 1:15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.
ROM 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

This man under the headship of TLJC would become the master-builder of the church, constructing her doctrines, extending her borders as no other has ever done, and establishing the principles which should govern her to the end of time.

He would begin by pointing to the forgiveness and grace of God.

Until a person realizes that all of his sins have been completely wiped out and paid for, that person really has no hope.

It would be reaffirmed by that one who was the number one enemy of the early church.

Here is a man who went from the most notorious enemy of the church to the master-builder of it.

No justifying circumstances.
No merits of any kind (he was out to destroy Christians and the Church, therefore stabbing at Christ Himself).
No sign of a change of heart (he was on the road to Damascus getting ready to murder more Christians when he was called by God).

Because of the cross where another had borne his guilt, the One whom he hated.

COL 1:12-14, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

PHI 3:13 but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
EPH 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

A false teacher of our times was known to say, “Of course, God forgives; it’s His business.”
A father whose business it is to forgive everything his children do, and who establishes no authority and who enforces no law, is not worthy of being a father.

There can be no authority, no government, whether human or divine, there can be no divine order, whether in heaven or upon earth, without law.

Law has no meaning if there is no punishment for those who break it.

Yet with all His love which can never be measured, He could not pass over man’s sin, because of His justice and righteousness.

That is why from the beginning of human history when man fell into sin a Redeemer was promised (the seed of a woman) who would undo the work of Satan and free the human race from the devil’s bondage and sin’s guilt.

It was not to appease God’s wrath that TLJC died on the cross but to give free reign to God’s love for the sinner, while at the same time His awful wrath against sin might be made manifest, and the righteous claims of a holy government fully satisfied.

REV 4:11 “Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things, and because of Thy will they existed, and were created.”

Not for my name’s sake, but because of my name. Dia + accusative.

Sometimes he seeks to destroy all believers on the earth, when history is right for it.
Other times he seeks to discredit the believer on the earth.
Sometimes he entices the believer away with false doctrine, and sometimes he just wipes him out with those who have false doctrine.

They will do it because of me.
They attempt to discredit grace.
This is ouda, inherently they know not.

The idea that man will stand on the basis of personal worthiness has been the chief heresy apposing the central doctrine of grace, from the time of Christ’s death, to the present hour. It so permeates the church that few who preach are able to exclude it from their attempts at gospel teaching.

You have to feel sorry for your sins, then you believe on Christ, then you take a vow, and then you ask Jesus to come in. Then you take a vow to follow Him.

Then they throw in, you invite Jesus into your heart, and then you promise (ROM 12:1) to follow Him and be obedient to His commands.

ROM 12:1 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
ROM 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 109. THE ANTAGONISM OF THE WORLD SYSTEM TOWARD BELIEVERS AND BIBLE DOCTRINE. PART 12. JOH 15. ROM 1:18-25; EPH 2:4-9; COL 2:6; HEB 8:12

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 109. The antagonism of the world system toward believers and Bible doctrine, Part 12.

Sunday, October 23, 2005

1. Verse 18 - because the kosmos system hates Christ.
2. Because once a person is in the plan of God, as a believer priest, they no longer belong to the world.
3. Verse 20 - the slave is not greater than His master.

4. JOH 15:21 - because the kosmos is ignorant of the plan of God.

All these things is a reference to Satan and the kingdom of darkness who are in the business of exalting the creature and opposing the creator.

The one thing that Satan is obsessed with opposing in the life of every believer is the grace of God.

JOH 15:21 “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”
PSA 92:5-6 How great are Thy works, O Lord! Thy thoughts are very deep. A senseless man has no knowledge; Nor does a stupid man understand this:

PSA 94:8 Pay heed, you senseless among the people; And when will you understand, stupid ones?
JER 4:22 For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children, And they have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know.

Grace represents that which is limitless and measureless.
Grace is nothing less than the unlimited love of God expressing itself in measureless blessing.

Grace = favor.
The Old Testament identifies grace by the word favor.
Grace also means kindness, mercy.

Grace is the divine provision for mankind, before, during, and after salvation.
Grace can also be defined as undeserved blessing; therefore, grace is free, unmerited, and undeserving.

1. The divine policy in salvation for all mankind.
2. The divine policy for the Church-age believer which is totally grace as Royal Family of God.

a. Total depravity - you cannot earn anything from God under total depravity.
b. Total separation from God - there is no way He can bridge the gap.
c. Total helplessness - the unbeliever cannot do a thing to gain the recognition or approbation of God.

JOH 15:21 “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”

After salvation, God’s grace is extended to all believers in the PPOG.

Grace = all that God is free to do for mankind on the basis of the saving work of TLJC on the cross.
Grace = ALL that God is free to do for each Church-age believer without compromising His essence.

Grace is the genius of God directed toward the entire human race, believer and unbeliever.

1. Grace is not held back or withdrawn because of our failure.
Grace ceases to be grace if God is compelled to withdraw it in the presence of human failure or sin.

PSA 95:10 they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways.
LUK 23:34 “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.”

Through the cross all questions of demerit have been banished and God is righteously free to exercise grace in every case.

2. Grace cannot be LESSENED because of failure or sin.
God cannot do less in grace for one who is sinful than He would have done had that one been less sinful.

Grace cannot be increased, for it is the expression of God’s infinite love, and grace cannot be diminished, for every limitation that human sin might impose on the action of a righteous God has through the cross been dismissed forever.

Grace does not mean that God ignores or overlooks sin; grace means that God has dealt with sin perfectly by means of His Son on the cross.

When you think of grace I want you to think of the freedom God has to express His love to all mankind.

3. Grace cannot incur or bring on a debt.

Grace must always remain unadulterated in its generosity and benefit.

Pure God, and nothing whatsoever to do with man.

Through grace, God is glorified and sinners are saved.

JOH 15:21 “All these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”

What God does, He does in grace and therefore He bestows as a gift, and rightfully.

A benefit cannot be called a gift if it is paid for before, at the time, or after the gift is given.

Any attempt to compensate God or to pay Him back for whatever He does is totally incompatible with the grace of God.

GAL 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

All attempts to repay His gift, be they ever so sincere, serve only to frustrate His grace and lower the marvelous kindness of God to some form of creature credit. How faithfully we should serve Him - but never to repay Him.

Service is our means of expressing our love and devotion to Him, but it is not what we owe Him.

The grace of God is too often denied by well meaning attempts to compensate God for His benefits.

Salvation must be understood and treated as a gift from God and Christian service and faithfulness must be the expression of the believer’s love and gratitude to God.

JOH 15:21 “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”

Salvation is never conditioned on human faithfulness or on the promise of human faithfulness.

4. Grace is not something that God OWES the human race because of the cross.

The offer of salvation to the human race is not something that God owed the human race, nor is it something God had to do.
It is strictly a manifestation of the grace of God.

COL 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him.

Answer - By grace, through faith.

The entire human race has been placed under the divine judicial sentence of sin.
It is obviously true that all men are sinners both by nature and practice.

All men have already been condemned; they are children of disobedience, EPH 2:2, not on the ground of their own sinfulness but on the ground of their federal headship in fallen Adam.

ROM 11:32 For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all.

ROM 3:9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

GAL 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

ROM 3:19 Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may become accountable to God;

5. Grace is never the overpayment of a debt or a reward for trying hard.

Grace is neither treating a person “as” he deserves, nor treating a person “better” than he deserves.

Grace is infinite love expressing itself in infinite goodness.

Divine grace is never decreased or increased; however, the experience of that grace depends on the believer’s fellowship with God.

6. Grace did not appear in the immediate divine dealings with the sins of the world.

Grace did not judge our sins; justice and righteousness did.

Not because God is gracious enough to excuse their sins, but because there is redemption through the blood of Christ.

COL 2:13 He has forgiven you all trespasses.

When God forgives absolutely and eternally, through the cross of Christ, He is acting as a judge, not a father with a father’s heart.

We call this judicial forgiveness.

Judicial forgiveness itself is not an act of grace but a judicial offer to all mankind from the righteousness and justice of God.

The forgiveness of God toward the sinner, then, is made possible only through the cross and never an act of immediate grace.

Forgiveness cancels every debt before God, whereas justification declares the sinner to be forever judicially righteous in the eyes of God.

Those acts which deal with human unworthiness and sin are “acts of justice” - including forgiveness, justification, death to the law, freedom from the law, and the whole new creation.

Those aspects of salvation wherein God is revealed as imparting and bestowing His benefits are “immediate acts of His grace.”
These include the gift of eternal life, the imputed righteousness of God, and all the blessings found in your escrow blessings.

This is one of the reasons why a believer “loses rewards” at the bema seat, 1CO 3:11-15.

7. Grace is not the issue in dealing with the sins of the saved.

He acts in strict faithfulness to His covenant and promise concerning forgiveness of sin.

Forgiveness of sin is based upon the righteousness and justice of God not the grace of God.

Grace = the uncompromised, unrestricted, unrecompensed loving favor of God toward sinners.

Grace is more than love; it is love which is absolutely free “to love.”

Grace depends upon who and what God is and never who and what man is.

Grace is God doing the work and man receiving what God has provided in a non-meritorious way.

Legalism or religion means man does the work and man gets the credit.

Satan hates when God gets the credit; it is creator-credit versus creature-credit.

Grace is needed in prayer,
HEB 4:16;
in undeserved suffering,
2CO 12:9-10;
in the release of divine power,
2TI 2:1;
in the stability for the believer,
1PE 5:12;
and to grow spiritually; 2PE 3:18.

The secret of the mystery, Part 110. The one thing Satan is obsessed with opposing in the life of every believer.

Wednesday, October 26, 2005

4. JOH 15:21 - because the kosmos is ignorant of the plan of God.

“All these things” = Satan and the kingdom of darkness who are in the business of exalting the creature and opposing the creator, and do not know God the Father and His plan called grace.

The one thing that Satan is obsessed with opposing in the life of every believer is the grace of God.

We are forgiven on the basis of what God has done for us.
We are never forgiven on the basis of what we have done for God.

1. Grace is not held back or withdrawn because of our failure.
Through the cross all questions of demerit have been banished and God is righteously free to exercise grace in every case.

2. Grace cannot be LESSENED because of failure or sin.
The sin question has been set aside forever and through the cross an equal exercise of grace is extended to all who believe.

Do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “He’s a fiercely jealous lover” - in an anthropopathic way.

This means that some times you need to hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious.
The grace of God is therefore exercised in perfect independence of human sin or failure.

3. Grace cannot incur or bring on a debt.
A gift cannot be called a gift if it is paid for before, at the time, or after the gift is given.

These attempts, although many times made in sincerity, exhibit such a lack of appreciation for the love and grace of God.

A gift cannot be called a gift if it is paid for before, at the time, or after the gift is given.

GAL 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by works, then Christ is dead in vain.

The grace of God is too often denied by well meaning attempts to compensate God for His benefits.
Salvation must be understood and treated as a gift from God and Christian service and faithfulness must be the expression of the believer’s love and gratitude to God.

JOH 15:21 - “they do not know Me or the One who sent Me.”

Salvation is never conditioned on human faithfulness or on the promise of human faithfulness.

4. Grace is not something that God OWES the human race because of the cross.
If God were indebted to the human race because of the work of the cross then the payment of an honest debt could never be an act of grace.

The offer of salvation to the human race is not something that God owed the human race, nor is it something God had to do.
It is strictly a manifestation of the grace of God.

Grace demands that every form of human merit shall be set aside completely so that pure grace may be exercised.

COL 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him.

Answer - By grace, through faith.

The entire human race has been placed under the divine judicial sentence of sin.
All men are sinners both by nature and practice.

All men have already been condemned, they are children of disobedience, EPH 2:2, not on the ground of their own sinfulness but on the ground of their federal headship in fallen Adam.

GAL 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Under the principle of “true gospel preaching” sinners are to be told that they may now stand forever pardoned before God.
Not because God is gracious enough to excuse their sins, but because there is redemption through the blood of Christ.
COL 2:13 He has forgiven you ALL your trespasses.

When God forgives absolutely and eternally, through the cross of Christ, He is acting as a judge not a father with a father’s heart = judicial forgiveness.
Judicial forgiveness itself is not an act of grace but a judicial offer to all mankind from the righteousness and justice of God.

Judicial forgiveness covers “all” sin and by it the sinner is pardoned forever.

The forgiveness of God toward the sinner, then, is made possible only through the cross and never an act of immediate grace.
Forgiveness cancels every debt before God, whereas justification declares the sinner to be forever judicially righteous in the eyes of God.

Those acts which deal with human unworthiness and sin are “acts of justice.” These include forgiveness, justification, death to the law, freedom from the law, and the whole new creation.

Those aspects of salvation wherein God is revealed as imparting and bestowing His benefits = “immediate acts of His grace.” These include the gift of eternal life, the imputed righteousness of God, and all your escrow blessings.

This is one of the reasons why a believer “loses rewards” at the bema seat, 1CO 3:11-15.

7. Grace is not the issue in dealing with the sins of the saved.
The Father does not act in gracious kindness when forgiving and cleansing the believer.
He acts in strict faithfulness to His covenant and promise concerning forgiveness of sin.

Forgiveness of sin is based upon the righteousness and justice of God not the grace of God.

“Grace” represents the uncompromised, unrestricted, unrecompensed loving favor of God toward sinners.
Grace is more than love; it is love which is absolutely free “to love.”
Grace depends upon who and what God is and never who and what man is.
Grace is God doing the work and man receiving what God has provided in a non-meritorious way.

and to grow spiritually, 2PE 3:18.

THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 111. THE OLD SIN NATURE TEST. JOH 15; GAL 5:13-17; 1TI 2:11-14; LUK 1:26-35; MAT 13:53-58; MAR 6:3-4; HEB 9:14-15; 2SA 7:8-17; PSA 89:20-37; GEN 3:15-16

The secret of the mystery. Part 111. The old sin nature test.

Thursday, October 27, 2005

5. Because their old sin nature is exposed.

Sin is in the singular - accusative singular feminine noun - hamartias = not personal sin, but the entire OSN.

The old sin nature test.

The old sin nature originated from human volition.
Man with his own volition invented the old sin nature.

Adam’s original sin is imputed to mankind at birth.

Man’s twenty-three contaminated chromosomes which fertilize the female ovum, which is uncontaminated by the old sin nature, pass on the old sin nature to each member of the human race.

While both man and woman are carriers of the old sin nature, only the man can transmit the old sin nature through the fertilization of the female ovum.

This was how our Lord was born as the last Adam.

The first Adam was created perfect; the last Adam, Jesus Christ, was born perfect. So Jesus Christ was the facsimile or type of Adam before the fall.

There is no such thing as the perpetual virginity of Mary.
Mary’s virgin pregnancy was caused by God the Holy Spirit fertilizing the female ovum. He provided twenty-three perfect chromosomes to fertilize her twenty-three perfect chromosomes which were uncontaminated by the old sin nature.

In this way, Mary had a virgin pregnancy - parthenogenesis - the origin of our Lord’s humanity into the world.

Mary received at birth the imputation of human life to her soul and the imputation of Adam’s original sin to her old sin nature; so she was not perfect.

In the case of her Son, Jesus, God the Father imputed human life to His human soul, but divine justice could not impute Adam’s original sin since there was no target, no home, no antecedence, no affinity, with no genetically-formed old sin nature in Him.

It is the virgin birth that is the basis for redemption, because it provided the world with a perfect human being, the only One qualified to be judged for the sins of the world.

1. To be our Savior.
As God, Jesus Christ could have nothing to do with sin. To provide redemption, the sins of the world had to be imputed to Christ on the cross.

2. To be our Mediator, 1TI 2:5-6; HEB 9:14-15.

1TI 2:5-5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time.

3. To be our High Priest.
He is not a Levitical priest as the Jews had in the Old Testament, but with His third royal patent He became a royal priest.

A priest = a member of the human race representing himself or humanity in general before God. We, the Royal Family in the Church-age, are a “kingdom of priests,” 1PE 2:9.

4. To become the Son of David, 2SA 7:8-16; PSA 89:20-37.

Over 3000 years ago, God promised David that he would have a son who would reign forever.

At the First Advent of the virgin birth, our Lord receives His second royal title, “Son of David.” In order to become the Son of David, Jesus Christ had to become true humanity.

In His Second Advent our Lord will fulfill that promise to David. The humanity of Christ, riding a white horse, will come back and reign on earth, not only for the 1000 years of the Millennium, but for all eternity in the new earth.

The promise was offered in the First Advent; it is fulfilled in the Second Advent.

When the apostles dealt with the Jews after the Day of Pentecost in the early part of Acts, they always brought up the question: how can Jesus Christ be the Son of David and at the same time God?
The answer is found in the Hypostatic Union, which in turn leads to the concept of redemption.

1. The first prophecy of the virgin birth: GEN 3:15-16.
2. The Jewish prophecy of the virgin birth: ISA 7:14; ISA 9:6.
3. The historical fulfillment of the virgin birth: MAT 1:19-25.

JOH 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
ROM 1:3 concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,

1TI 3:16 And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Beheld by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
HEB 2:14 Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;

PHI 2:5-11 Keep on thinking this [doctrine] within yourselves which was also resident in Christ Jesus, who, although He preexisted in the essence of God, did not think equality with God a gain to be seized, but He deprived Himself of the proper function of deity when He had received the form of a servant and was born in the likeness of men. In fact, although having being discovered in outward appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of spiritual death, that is the death of the cross. Therefore also the God has highly exalted Him to the maximum, and bestowed on Him the name or rank which is above every name, in order that at the title of Jesus every knee of the heavens should bow, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, resulting in the glory of God the Father.

THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 112. STANDING FIRM IN THE ANGELIC CONFLICT AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE. GAL 5:16-17; 1CO 11:19; DEU 13:1-3; JOH 15; LUK 18:9-14; LUK 15:1-2

The secret of the mystery. Part 112. Standing firm in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare.

Sunday, October 30, 2005.

Because their old sin nature is exposed.

1) The old sin nature controls the soul.
2) The believer enters the cosmic system.

For the believer living in the PPOG, all suffering is designed for blessing.
For the believer living in the cosmic system, all suffering is punitive.

The first self-sustaining function of your priesthood is rebound; the second is perception, metabolization, and application of Bible doctrine.

The believer uses the recovery drill, rebound, to get out of the cosmic system; then he uses the application drill to endure suffering for blessing.

1. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare will continue his momentum inside the PPOG.
2. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare must have a personal sense of destiny.

3. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare must have control of his life in normal times so that he will have control of his life under pressure.
4. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare must make good decisions from a position of strength.

5. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare must possess right priorities.
6. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare functions under honor, integrity, and virtue when under pressure.

Right priorities are not developed in the crisis.
Right priorities must be developed before the crisis!

7. The believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare is spiritually prepared for disaster.
Sometimes, the pattern of the believer who holds his ground in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare is low profile during normal times, but it emerges from obscurity to stand in the gap during the crisis.

MAT 18:7 For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes.

Spoken - laleo = to communicate doctrine.
Cognitive imperfect tense = they would not have the awareness of the sin nature.

The tax-collector was a Roman aristocrat, but considered by the Jews to be the lowest of all social rank at the time of writing.

MAT 9:10 - our Lord associated with publicans or tax-collectors and “sinners” or prostitutes.
The tax-collectors and prostitutes kept coming to listen to our Lord because of their positive volition to the gospel, LUK 15:1.

Many today think they are able to discern Satan’s policy of evil and God’s policy of grace.

The majority of believers cannot distinguish between divine good and good and evil.

The Pharisee was a Jew and a religious leader who believed in salvation by works and spirituality by works.

Apparently this tax-collector understood by the observation of the various Levitical sacrifices exactly who and what Christ was.

Aor-pass-part - statheis - staqeiV" = to take a stand.
Passive voice = something caused the Pharisee to take a stand, his good works.
It means taking up his position ostentatiously in a static and upright position of perfect security and self-satisfaction.

Per-act-part - hestos - e" - perfect tense = this was always his attitude to stand in a position of humility before God.
Williams translation - “the Pharisee stood and said this self centered prayer.”
The Pharisee used 29 words in his prayer to the publican’s six.

1. That he was not created a Gentile.
2. That he was not a plebeian, an ordinary Roman citizen.
3. That he was not born a woman.
