12. The availability of divine power to execute the PPOG.
The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to every Church-age believer for the execution of God’s will, plan, and purpose for the Church-age.
a. The filling of the Holy Spirit and the use of divine power.
b. Cognition of Bible doctrine and the use of divine power.
c. Execution of the PPOG and the use of divine power.
We need divine power because Satan, as the ruler of this world, has maximum power which is utilized for his evil policy of both moral and immoral degeneracy.
Satan’s power is revealed by the fact that he is the highest of all angels, and ruler of all fallen angels MAT 9:34;MAT 12:26;
LUK 11:18-19.
MAT 9:34 - “the ruler of demons”
MAT 12:26 - he has a kingdom.
He is a prehistoric super-creature, ISA 14:12-17; EZE 28:11-19.
Satan’s power is revealed by the fact that he is an organizational genius with a great organization of demons,EPH 6:10-12.
Satan is also the origin of murder and violence in the human race, GEN 6:4-11; JOH 8:44.
Since the fall of Adam, Satan has been the ruler of this world, LUK 4:5-7; JOH 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; 2CO 4:4;EPH 2:2.
Because of our Lord’s victory on the cross which overflows into the Church-age, the body of Christ ruled by the head, our Lord Jesus Christ, has received the delegated divine power to resist the devil, 1JO 4:4.
This reminds us of God’s grace; He has made available to us His power.
Satan is the archon (ruler) of all angels, so his power is far greater than ours.
a. The omnipotence of the Father providing our invisible assets and escrow blessings.
b. The omnipotence of God the Son who preserves the universe and controls history daily.
c. The omnipotence of God the Holy Spirit who provides the power to execute the PPOG.
Even for the unbeliever, God in His grace has provided a power to resist the power of Satan under the laws of divine establishment.
Religion is man seeking to use his own merits, his own works to gain the approbation of God.
1. Gospel, 2CO 4:3-4.
2. Ministers, 2CO 11:13-15.
3. Doctrine, 2TI 4:1.
4. Communion table,
1CO 10:19-21.
5. Spirituality, GAL 3:2-3.
6. Righteousness, MAT 19:16-28.
7. Self-righteousness,
MAT 23:13-36.
8. Power and dynamics (miracles, healing, tongues)
2TH 2:8-10.
9. System of Gods, 2TH 2:3-4.
False teachers are also a part of his strategy,
1JO 4:1-3.
They are usually bleeding heart do-gooders, who “love” everyone, being all things to all men apart from any standards based on Bible doctrine, MAT 7:15.
ROM 16:18 For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the stupid.
They use human public relations systems and legalistic flirtation to court believers, GAL 4:17; 2TI 3:5-7.
GAL 4:17 They eagerly seek you, not commendably, but they wish to shut you out, in order that you may seek them.
They appeal to human ego and arrogance and pride to distract believers from grace, 2CO 10:12.
They promote idolatry as a part of Satan’s communion table,
HAB 2:18-19.
They promote legalism as a system of spirituality which we call pseudo-spirituality,
1TI 1:7-8.
They possess a false spirit, 1JO 4:1-3.
2TI 3:13 - all apostates have been deceived by Satan to the extent they are influenced by good and evil.
2TI 2:25-26 - the pastor is told to take disciplinary action toward those opposed to doctrinal teaching, so that they will recover from apostasy and be delivered from the devil’s trap.
One thing about being deceived by the power of Satan is that you start to lose your spiritual senses and then your common sense.
The devil holds believers captive by legalism, self-righteousness, arrogance, emotionalism, guilt, fear, condemnation, manipulation.
The Church-age is the most intensive time of the angelic conflict; therefore, the greatest delegation of divine power in human history occurs between the resurrection of Christ and the resurrection of the Church.
Divine omnipotence is related to both God’s promises and God’s actions on our behalf; both are a manifestation of His grace.
God the H.S. making light shine in our hearts = divine power in action.
Divine power is at work when we are learning Bible doctrine and metabolizing it in our hearts.
By the omnipotence of God the Holy Spirit, the delegated power of God for our perception, metabolization, and utilization of Bible doctrine inside the PPOG.
Treasure - thesauros - a place in which good and precious things are collected and stored up, a place filled with valuables.
The delegation of the omnipotence of God to the Church-age began with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This divine power was not made available until He raised TLJC from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places.
Having your priorities straight and being accurate and precise with doctrine is how you put into action the procedures and the mechanics.
One of the terms used to describe God’s plan for you is procedure, which emphasizes the utilization of divine power inside the PPOG.
In the PPOG, procedure means that there is only one way of doing a thing: the right way.
God’s policy of grace is divine power or omnipotence delegated to Church-age believers so that each believer has the power and ability to fulfill God’s game plan for the Church-age.
EPH 1:19-20 relates the divine power or omnipotence of God used in resurrection of Christ to the divine power or omnipotence delegated to the Church-age believer.
Before the dispensation of the hypostatic union and the resurrection of the humanity of Christ, divine power was delegated to very few Old Testament believers on a limited basis and on a contingency plan.
Between the resurrection of Christ and the Rapture of the Church is the greatest power experiment in all of human history.
a. The incarnation and hypostatic union, a period of 33 years, terminating with the resurrection of Christ.
b. The Church-age, an indefinite period of time, terminating with the resurrection of the Church.
The Church-age is the most intensive time of the angelic conflict and consequently the time of the greatest delegation of divine power in human history.
Between the resurrection of Christ and the rapture of the Church is the greatest demonstration of power in all of human history.
God’s power brings glory to God, which is creator-credit.
Man’s power brings glory to man, which is creature credit.
Between the two resurrections is the dispensation of the Royal Family of God, the Church-age.
The resurrection of Christ is a dividing line between limited power to a few believers before the resurrection, and maximum power to all believers after the resurrection.
Availability of divine power does not mean utilization of divine power.
PRO 24:5 A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge increases power.
Between availability and utilization is perception, metabolization, and application of the mystery doctrine of the Church-age.
The utilization of this divine power then depends upon your P.M.A. of B.D. plus the utilization of the problem-solving devices resulting in advance to spiritual maturity and the manufacture of invisible heroes.
The invisible hero of the Church-age is manufactured out of divine power.
The invisible hero also has maximum use of divine power during any given generation of the Church-age.
The invisible hero has maximum use of the ten problem-solving devices of the PPOG.
The invisible hero has the life beyond his fondest dreams.
1. The omnipotence of the Father in eternity past created invisible assets for every Church-age believer.
2. The omnipotence of the Holy Spirit has provided an unprecedented delegation and distribution of divine power inside God’s plan for your life.
The omnipotence of the Holy Spirit is described in -
ZEC 4:6 “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord.
HEB 4:12 The word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, and of joints and the marrow, and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
1. The omnipotence of God the Father related to our invisible assets.
2. The omnipotence of God the Son holding the universe together.
3. The omnipotence of God the Holy Spirit providing the necessary power for the execution of the procedure plan of God.
“To become strong” = tantamount to the filling of the Holy Spirit, which is the status of being controlled by the Holy Spirit inside the PPOG.
God is perfect; therefore, His plan is perfect.
It is impossible for perfect God to design for us an imperfect plan.
The execution of the PPOG demands the understanding and utilization of the power of God the Holy Spirit, available only inside the PPOG.
After the Rapture of the Church, the Tribulation and the Millennium, there will not be a PPOG, as we know it.
The Christological dispensations are the dispensations when Christ or the Messiah lives inside of humans - the dispensation of the hypostatic union and the dispensation of the Church.
