What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 12. The profile of a traitor.

Wednesday, February 2, 2005

All of the time that the traitor walked with TLJC, the traitor had his privacy.

TLJC was a gentleman and a gentleman or a lady always respects the privacy of others.
TLJC gives the sinner, even the unbelieving traitor, his privacy.

Morsel - “psomion” = a special piece of bread dipped in some meat sauce at the Passover.

The Lord not only gave this man his privacy but in offering him the psomion, He offered him the highest honor from the host at the Passover.

Just because we may be totally convinced that a person will not respond to the Gospel, or doctrine, or being treated graciously, that should not stop us from treating them with honor and respect.

Judas Iscariot was the honored guest at the last supper.

a. One of the many characteristics of a traitor is resentment which is a feeling of extreme displeasure because of some real or imagined wrong.
b. A traitor does not think that he is getting the attention and the respect that he should.

c. He can always be bought for some price - promise him that he will be promoted and he will betray.
d. They have no loyalties in life except loyalty to themselves, and usually leave you when you need them the most.

Judas Iscariot = “praise of the Lord.”

When Judas’ name appears in the lists of the twelve disciples, it is always last, MAT 10:2-4; MAR 3:16-19;
LUK 6:14-16.

1. The traitor is usually someone close to you that has become so familiar with you that they believe that they are more qualified to do what you are doing,
PSA 41:9; PSA 55:12-14, 20-22.

2. The traitor is usually someone who is bitter about their own personal failures and lack of being elevated.

3. Many times the traitor can have a good personality and even give the appearance that they are leaders.

JUD 1:16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

4. The traitor can also be very sincere, very emotional, but most of all, very arrogant.

5. The traitor also likes to look for others who have an axe to grind against the one they are betraying.

6. The traitor is usually jealous, covetous, envious and lustful of what the victim of their betrayal has.

7. The traitor likes to get as many individuals involved in his betrayal as he can so that the betrayal will have some credibility and believability.

a. You give the betrayal some credibility and believability.
b. You bully people into supporting something that is evil without them even knowing it.

c. You put them in a position of supporting the betrayal, which is very difficult for them to get out of, unless, they make some drastic decisions.
d. You cause them to get involved with the evil behind the betrayal which can be used in the future to keep them committed to the traitor as well.

8. The traitor is usually promised some form of personal promotion and prosperity for his betrayal.

Sometimes he will get others to do his dirty work while trying to appear the right and innocent one who is a victim rather than a villain.

9. The traitor leads others in his betrayal with lies and inventions, corruption, distortion, inaccuracy, misrepresentation, perversion, defamation, and slander.

10. The traitor works behind the scenes for a long period of time and waits for something to reach its peak, and then it is time to strike.

11. The traitor looks for individuals who can easily be swayed into joining the betrayal.

12. There are some traitors who never face the one they have betrayed, they let others do their dirty work.

13. The traitor will use you as a stepping stone as they are trying to climb the ladder of success.

14. Many traitors assume that the victim of their betrayal has overlooked their talent and ability.

15. Many traitors bear a grudge from a sense of grievance or frustrated ambition.

16. The traitor makes false accusations; those who make accusations and judge others are usually guilty of the very thing they judge others for.

17. The traitor thinks that he should be in a position of authority when in reality he does not have the leadership ability to be there.

Lucifer was the Messiah’s personal angel.

Joseph’s brothers sold Joseph into slavery.

Korah, the cousin of Moses, betrayed Moses.

Absalom was the son of David.

Judas was close to TLJC.

Once you get certain people involved with a betrayal, because they were close to the one in authority, many people think that what they are saying is true.

Propaganda = distortion, lies, rumors, and indoctrination or garbage in the soul.

18. The traitor must be clever, personable, hypocritical, sly and arrogant.

If he is not sly and clever, in the spiritual realm, we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, etc.

19. The traitor is usually dissatisfied with his circumstances and his niche in life and he wants to be promoted beyond his capacity.

20. In trying to wipe out others, the traitor inevitably wipes out himself, MAT 7:1-2,
PSA 7:14-16.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 13. A LOOK AT A PERSON WHO REJECTED THE MYSTERY. JOH 13:21-27; PSA 7:14-16; MAT 27:3-5

What it means to be initated into the secret of the mystery, Part 13: A look at a person who rejected the mystery.

1. The traitor is usually someone close to you that has become so familiar with you that they believe that they are more qualified to do what you are doing,
PSA 41:9; PSA 55:12-14, 20-22.
2. The traitor is usually someone who is bitter about their own personal failures and lack of being elevated.

3. Many times the traitor can have a good personality and even give the appearance that they are leaders, Jude 1:16.
4. The traitor can also be very sincere, very emotional, but most of all, very arrogant, 2SA 15:2-6.

5. The traitor also likes to look for others who have an axe to grind against the one they are betraying.
6. The traitor is usually jealous, covetous, envious and lustful of what the victim of their betrayal has, JOH 16:1-2.

7. The traitor likes to get as many individuals involved in his betrayal as he can so that the betrayal will have some credibility and believability.
8. The traitor is usually promised some form of personal promotion and prosperity for his betrayal, JDG 16:5-19.

They are bitter because they are discontent or malcontent with their niche in life.

They are failures and losers who look for excuses of why they have not succeeded in any areas of life.

12. There are some traitors who never face the one they have betrayed, they let others do their dirty work.

13. The traitor will use you as a stepping stone as they are trying to climb the ladder of success.

ROM 14:4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and stand he will, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

The legalistic, arrogant, self-righteous believer is both presumptuous and blasphemous when he slanders, maligns, gossips, or judges another member of the Royal Family.

JOB 40:8 “Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified?”

14. Many traitors assume that the victim of their betrayal has overlooked their talent and ability.

15. Many traitors bear a grudge from a sense of grievance or frustrated ambition.

JAM 4:10 “Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will promote you.”
LUK 14:11 “For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled. And he who humbles himself shall be promoted.”

20. In trying to wipe out others, the traitor inevitably wipes out himself, MAT 7:1-2, PSA 7:14-16.

Psomion – ywmivon = the highest honor of a banquet.

1. His opportunities.
a. He was from the tribe of Judah, JOH 6:71, from the ruling tribe, he is an aristocrat.
b. He was called by Christ, LUK 6:16, and he overtly responded even though he was on negative volition, so he was a hypocrite.

c. He was numbered among the 12, MAT 10:4.
d. He was the treasurer, JOH 12:6.
e. He was present and honored at the last supper, JOH 13:26.

2. His sowing – the sowing of Judas Iscariot.

a. He was covetous,
JOH 12:4-6, and had a tremendous lust for things – he was materialistic.

b. He was a thief, JOH 12:6.
c. He was Satan possessed, LUK 22:3.

d. He bargained to betray Jesus Christ, MAR 14:10.
e. He was bribed to become a traitor, MAT 26:14-16.

3. His reaping.
a. His repentance, MAT 27:3.
b. His restitution, MAT 27:4.
c. His death, MAT 27:5.

ACT 1:18 falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out.

d. His curse, ACT 1:20, For it is written in the book of Psalms, “Let his homestead be made desolate, And let no man dwell in it”; and, “His office let another man take.”

e. His replacement, 1CO 15:7-10.
His replacement was the apostle Paul, not that very nice man whom they voted in, Acts 1.
God appointed the apostle Paul, 1CO 12:7-10.

His religiosity was about to become manifest, because he was about to become Satan-possessed.

1. This is our Lord’s last appeal to Judas.
2. This is his final invitation to salvation.
3. By accepting the honor of the morsel, Judas perpetuated the hypocrisy of his soul to the very end.

Judas is under what
2TH 2:11 calls “strong delusion.”

4. Judas accepted this high honor with negative volition in his soul.
5. Even though Judas had done this, God’s love and God’s grace did not change.
6. While Judas was an unbeliever, and continued on negative volition, Jesus Christ had offered him, right down to the wire, the last chance.

7. PSA 41:9, quoted in JOH 13:18 – PSA 41:9 Even my close friend, in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 14. THE RESULT OF A PERSON WHO REJECTED THE MYSTERY. JOH 3:21-27; 1CO 10:14-21; 1CO 1:26-29

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 14. The result of a person who rejected the mystery.

Sunday, February 6, 2005

When our Lord offered the morsel or the psomion - ywmivon - to Judas Iscariot, this was the highest honor that could be bestowed on a person like Judas.

His religiosity was about to become manifest, because he was about to become Satan-possessed.

He was willing to take things from the Lord even though he had problems with the Lord and had been contemplating leaving our Lord’s ministry.

Judas is under, 2TH 2:11 - “strong delusion” from Satan and the Kingdom of darkness.

How many of you have had people who accepted things from you habitually only to turn on you and leave you when you needed them most?

Judas took the morsel but did not receive the Savior.

The giving of the morsel to Judas Iscariot at the last supper was a tremendous gesture of grace.

Satan and the Kingdom of darkness have an easy time controlling anyone influenced by religion, legalism or having the self-righteous attitude that they are better than others or that they know better than others.

Religion becomes the basis for communion with the devil, 1CO 10:14-21.

PRO 6:16-19 - There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: the seventh - one who sows discord among brothers.

We do not reduce Christ to what we are; He raises us to what He is.

Even in the Old Testament with Israel - those who ate the sacrifices offered on God’s altar were sharing with God’s action at the altar.

If you do you will end up reaping what you sow, as with Judas Iscariot - hanging himself, and then falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out.

Satan and the kingdom of darkness with all its demons promote religion, and you have been elevated higher than both the elect and the fallen angels because you are in union with Christ, Heb 1-2.

He was from the tribe of Judah, JOH 6:71, the same tribe as our Lord.
He was called by Christ, LUK 6:16, and he overtly responded even though he was on negative volition, so he was a hypocrite.

He was a member of a congregation, numbered among the 12, MAT 10:4.
He worked for the ministry, JOH 12:6.

REV 2:4 “But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

You cannot have it both ways, on the Lord’s side one day, and rejecting Him the next day.
You cannot have it both ways, banqueting with the Master one day and slumming with demons the next.

Religion, legalism or having the self-righteous attitude that you are better than others or that you know better than others is nothing more that communion with the devil or his demons.

When Judas leaves the table, he rejects the cup of our Lord at the last supper or the Passover meal.

The cross is called a cup in MAT 20:22.

The contents of the cup are the sins of the world poured out on Christ at the cross, MAT 20:22; MAT 26:39,42;
MAR 10:38, “Father, if it be Your will let this cup pass from Me.”

ACT 13:22 “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will.”

1JO 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us.

Judas went negative to the maximum with regard to the cup of the Lord, so he ends up drinking from the cup of Satan and when he does, he is Satan possessed, 1 of 3 recorded cases in history where Satan himself actually indwells a person.

Eis - ei*" + aor-act-ind - eiselthen - ei*sh'lqen = to enter into someone.

Judas was possessed by Satan, just like the King of Tyre was possessed by Satan, Eze 28.
The devil had possessed Judas the first of two times during the final week of Jesus’ life,
LUK 22:3, just before the Lord’s supper.

After that we have negative volition creating a vacuum in his frontal lobe, into this vacuum comes religion, religion is the devil’s communion table, 1Co 10.

He made friends easily, and he swayed people, as illustrated in the previous chapter when he was critical of Mary and persuaded the disciples to be critical of Mary.

Satan is going to indwell one other person, the dictator of the revived Roman empire, the beast of Rev 13; every description of this beast, Dan 7, Dan 9, Rev 13, is the same - a brilliant man, an attractive man, a persuasive man, etc.

The serpent who was more crafty than any beast of the field, GEN 3:1.
The king of Tyre, handsome and intelligent, EZE 28:11.
Judas Iscariot, JOH 13:27.
The dictator of the revived Roman empire, in Europe, in the future, Rev 13.

Satan looks for the attractive and the intelligent, but the Lord will use any old clodhopper, for which we are all very thankful.

1CO 1:26-29 Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God.

ACT 1:18 Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out.

You have to be involved in religion, legalism or having the self-righteous attitude that you are better than others or that you know better than others.

Just before the Church-age, we have Satan indwelling Judas Iscariot.
After the Church-age, the Church goes up, we have Satan indwelling the dictator of Rome.

Because of the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit, and the operation of a kingdom of priests on the earth, the Church, 2TH 2:7.

1. Do not let anyone or anything ruin your life -
REV 3:11 hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.

2. Do not get discouraged when things are not going right in your life -
REV 2:25 “Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.”

3. Do not become arrogant and think you know more than your teachers -
2JO 1:8 Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.
MAT 10:24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.”

4. Do not lose your compassion and love for the Lord -
REV 2:4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

1 Cor 11:28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
1 Cor 10:17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

Is the Lord’s supper PERSONAL or COLLECTIVE??
The Cross is personal, and it is universal.

GAL 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

John 12:24 (TLB)Unless I die I will be alone – a single seed. But my death will produce many new wheat kernels – a plentiful harvest of new lives.

The individual death is the doorway to collective blessing.
1 Cor 15:31 I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord,I die daily.

At the Lord’s Supper, we are led to the cross so that we may die thereupon.

ROM 6:10-11 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Luke 9:23 If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

We need forgiveness for what we have done, but we need deliverance from what we are.

The DEATH is by its nature SOLITARY.
The LIFE is by its nature SHARED.

The individual death is the doorway to collective blessing, that new life that is shared with others.

If we are dying to self, we will be living for others.
If we are not living for others, it means we have not been dying to self!

The source of their problem was in their priesthood, not their ambassadorship.
1 Cor 10:14 Therefore my beloved, flee from idolatry.
James 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine produce figs?

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
1 Cor 10:21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

The individual death is the doorway to collective blessing.
2 Cor 4:12 So death works in us, but life in you.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 15. GETTING RID OF SATANIC DISTRACTION TO UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY. JOH 13:21-31; LUK 22:1-7; MAT 5:43-48

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, prt 14. Getting rid of satanic distraction to understand the mystery. .

“What you have already decided to do, do quickly.”

Do – pres-act-ind – poieo = what you have been doing.
Do – aor-act-imp – poiei = “do it now.”
Tachion = do it quickly, or swiftly.

Satan cannot hinder the timing of the cross, and Satan cannot hinder the plan of God, even though he now possesses a member of the human race.

If TLJC can respect the privacy of a traitor, one who will betray Him, then it ought to become obvious to you that you should respect the privacy of the believer-priest which has been is established by God.

MAT 7:1-6 “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults – unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

It is going to be a “new command” with a “new power” to fulfill the command.

PSA 139:21-22 Do I not hate those who hate Thee, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against Thee? I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my enemies.

PSA 137:8 O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have repaid us. How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones Against the rock.

PSA 58:6 O God, shatter their teeth in their mouth; Break out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord.

1. He had a relaxed mental attitude toward Judas Iscariot.
2. He respected the volition of Judas Iscariot.
3. He respects the privacy of Judas Iscariot.

Satan is inside of Judas Iscariot, and he is taunting Jesus Christ to sin because that will cut off the cross, the Lord would not be able to be the sinless sacrifice.

1PE 2:22-23 He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

The first thing that Jesus discusses by way of doctrine is the intensification of the angelic conflict.

The upper room discourse – the rest of Joh 13, and Joh 14.

“The Son of Man” emphasizes the humanity of Christ.

Jesus Christ is God; He is also man. As deity, He is immutability, and that means He is always glorified.

First, we have the epitome of humiliation. He will go to the cross and die for our sins.

Then He will be resurrected, He will ascend, and when He is seated at the right hand of the Father, that is the glorification of TLJC, and the glorification of TLJC triggers the intensification of the angelic conflict.

Glorified – aor-pass- ind – doxazo = to be honored, to be magnified; to be clothed with splendor.

Indicative mood = reality of the glorification of the humanity of Christ, and the shifting of gears in the angelic conflict,
HEB 2:9-15.

It is divided into 2 parts, the Church-age, the hidden stage, and the Tribulation, the overt stage.

The Church-age is the most intensive hidden part of the angelic conflict, and in this age the life of every believer is a target, in contrast to the Old Testament dispensation, when Christ and the line of Christ was the target.

GAL 3:26-28 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

As a part of the mystery doctrine of the Church-age, you are an ambassador for Christ, there never were ambassadors in the Old Testament, that is for Christ only.

You are also your very own priest; every believer is a priest, and this was never true before, and you represent yourself before God.

Every believer is in union with Christ.
The Baptism of the Spirit never occurred in Old Testament times.

Every believer is indwelt by Christ.
Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

We have a brand new set of provisions – intensified provisions for an intensified conflict.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 16. NOW THE ANGELIC CONFLICT IS INTENSIFIED. JOH 13:30-31; HEB 1:3C-4; ISA 46:8-12; EPH 6:10-16

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 16. Now the angelic conflict intensifies.

Thursday, February 10, 2005

TLJC is going to begin to unfold the plan of God, and we are going to have the upper room discourse, and the first thing that Jesus discusses by way of doctrine is the intensification of the angelic conflict.

“The Son of Man” emphasizes the humanity of Christ.

PHI 2:8 In fact, although having being discovered in outward appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of spiritual death, that is the death of the cross.

After this, He will be resurrected, He will ascend, and when He is seated at the right hand of the Father, that is the glorification of TLJC, and the glorification of TLJC triggers the intensification of the angelic conflict.

“Now” = the approaching crisis for which Jesus Christ will go through the humiliation of the cross, and the glorification of resurrection, ascension, and session.

Glorified - aor-pass-ind - doxazo = to be honored, to be magnified; to be clothed with splendor.

It is divided into 2 parts, the Church-age, the hidden stage, and the Tribulation, the overt stage.

The Church-age is the most intensive hidden part of the angelic conflict, and in this particular age the life of every believer is a target, in contrast to the Old Testament dispensation, when Christ and the line of Christ was the target.

Since every believer is a target of Satan, divine provision for every believer is intensified, and this is why you now possess as an individual believer, certain things that believers did not possess before.

We now have the concept of dispersion of troops, in those days, they had the concept of concentration of troops.

In the period of the intensification of the angelic conflict, we are all scattered out, and we get together, if we get together, when we come to church.

HEB 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.

When we disperse we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, we are indwelt by the Person of Christ, we are in union with Christ, we are His personal ambassador-representative, we are a priest representing ourselves before God.

The Father is perfect, His plan is perfect, and the plan of God the Father calls for the betrayal for Judas Iscariot.

Satan is thinking, “If Judas Iscariot betrays Jesus, and Jesus gets into the hands of the Jews, then the Jews will stone Him to death.”

JOH 8:58-59 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple.

Satan has this big plan, all centered in Judas Iscariot.

But God the Father has another plan. His plan revolves around the fact that Jesus is going to go to the cross, and while He is on the cross, the sins of the world will be poured out on Him and judged.

ISA 53:10 But the Lord [God the Father] was pleased To crush Him [God the Son], putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering,

The Jews turn Him over to the Romans, just as God’s plan says it would happen.

The Romans crucify TLJC because Jesus is not a Roman citizen. He is a Jew, so they crucified Him, and this is the one type of death where there is plenty of time to bear the sins of the world.

PSA 33:10 The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.
PRO 6:16 There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

PRO 6:18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
PRO 15:26 Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord,

PRO 24:8 He who plans to do evil, Men will call him a schemer.
MAT 27:40 “You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

Where do you hear the doctrine of the mystery?
Rom 16, Col 1, Eph 3 - all those were written by the apostle Paul.

EPH 3:10 in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.

EPH 6:12 Because our struggle is not against blood [people’s souls] and flesh [their old sin nature], but against the rulers [the archons like Abaddon and Beelzebub], against the powers [demon officers who have phenomenal authority], against the world forces of this darkness [kosmokratoras - demons who specialize in possessing or influencing the cosmos or world rulers] against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places or against the spiritual forces of evil in the atmosphere around the earth, the stellar universe and in the presence of God.

EPH 6:10-12 - Paul announcing demon organization to meet the onslaught of operation footstool, or the operation of the Church-age.

“The Son on Man” is glorified, passive voice, receives glorification, and then the Father is glorified, passive voice, receives glorification.

“Is glorified” - aor-pass-ind - edoxasthe - e*doxavsqh = to receive glory or to be glorified, to honor, to magnify, to clothe with splendor.

It starts with the betrayal, the Cross, resurrection, ascension, session, all of these are a part of the constantive aorist.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 17. THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE PHRASE "LITTLE CHILDREN." JOH 13:31-33; JOH 3:28-29; EPH 5:25-32; 1CO 12:12-13

What it means to be initated into the secret of the mystery, Part 17: The mystery behind the phrase "little children.".

En - e*n + instrumental pronoun auto - au*tw'/ = by Him.

“Is glorified” - aor-pass-ind - edoxasthe - e*doxavsqh = God the Father receives glorification by TLJC being seated at the right hand of God the Father.

The Father has a perfect plan and that perfect plan is carried out perfectly by TLJC.

When He dies physically His glorification actually begins.
When Jesus Christ is on the cross, this is the low spot, but once He says, “It is finished,” our sins have all been judged in Christ, then He dies physically - and what happens to His spirit?

LUK 23:46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Thy hands I commit My spirit.” And having said this, He breathed His last.

1PE 3:18-19 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,

MAT 27:59-60 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb,

From there, 3 days later, the soul comes back and joins the body, the spirit comes back and joins the body, and the body walks right through the stone - that is glorification.

He makes appearances over a period of 40 days, then He ascends, and then as He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and that is glorification.

“Sit down at My right hand until I make thine enemies Thy footstool.”

As God He is omnipresent, but as a member of the human race, He is now above angels - Heb 1.

“God shall glorify Him” = God has a plan that is going to end up with both the Father and the Son being glorified together.

JOH 5:23 in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

“Little children” - vocative noun “teknia” = a nursery term that in this case really means “ignorant ones” or ones lacking knowledge.

He is going to teach that the Old Testament saints, both Jews and Gentiles are called friends of the Groom.

MAT 11:11 “Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”

On the cross, TLJC, who is called the last Adam, 1CO 15:45, was alone.

The first Adam in the garden caused the problem of sin, the last Adam on the cross solved the problem of sin.

GEN 2:18 “It is not good for the man [Hebrew - Adam] to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

The last Adam like the first Adam also has a right woman, a woman perfectly designed by God for the right man.
All brides must have a body.

When the Church is resurrected at the Rapture, then it will become a bride, under the principle of right man, right woman.

The analogy of Christ as the groom and the Church-age believer as the bride is taught in many passages - 2CO 11:2, EPH 5:25-33, REV 19:6-8.

2CO 11:2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

REV 19:6-8 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude and as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

All of them miss out on the true meaning - the mystery of Christian marriage as well as the marriage between TLJC and His church, the Bride, and then the resultant glorification of Christ through the third witness, Christian marriage.

While on the earth, the believer is a part of the body of Christ but at the end of the Church-age, the believer becomes a part of the bride of Christ.

“The Bride” is a title for the Royal Family in resurrection body.
The Royal Family is formed on earth during the Church-age, EPH 1:22-23; EPH 2:16; EPH 4:4-5; EPH 5:23;COL 1:18, 24, 2:19.

The body is formed at salvation through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, 1CO 12:13, EPH 4:4.

When the body is completed, the Rapture or the resurrection of the Church takes the Royal Family to heaven, to be prepared for the Second Advent,
1TH 4:16-18; 1CO 15:51-57.

1TH 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.

It is at this time, at the Rapture, that the believer gets a resurrection body exactly like Christ’s,
1CO 15:51-57; PHI 3:21; 1JO 3:1-2.

The bride is also cleansed from all human good, 1CO 3:12, 15.

The members of the bride have brought some rags with them as a apart of their heavenly wardrobe, called “filthy dirty rags of self-righteousness,”
ISA 64:6, and the Lord burns them up so that the bride has a perfect gown.

The bride, in receiving a body like Christ’s, no longer possesses an old sin nature, PHI 3:21; 1TH 5:23.

At the Second Advent, called by some the Second Coming, the Royal Family returns with Jesus Christ along with the elect angels and the Old Testament believers and Tribulational martyrs who receive their resurrection bodies at that time.

COL 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you [Church-age believers] also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Operation footstool = the termination of the strategic victory of the angelic conflict, by which TLJC returns to the earth to establish His kingdom and remove Satan and all fallen angels. This is when Satan loses the rulership of the world to the Lord, PSA 110:1; HEB 1:13; 10:13.

First comes the triumphal procession in which all demons are disarmed by Jesus Christ and publicly displayed,COL 2:15.
Then Satan is imprisoned for one thousand years, REV 20:1-3.

After that, Church-age believers cast demons into prison, ZEC 13:2; 1CO 15:24-25; COL 2:15.
Religion is eradicated, 1CO 10:20-21.
False doctrine is removed, 1TI 4:1, called doctrines of demons.

Spirituality changes to include ecstatics, since Christ is personally present on the earth, Joel 2:28-29.
Perfect environment will exist on earth until Satan is released to foment the Gog revolution, REV 20:7-10.

Then the coronation of the Lord under His third royal patent as battlefield royalty comes next, REV 19:6.
Then follows a wedding banquet of Christ, REV 19:9.
The marriage occurs in heaven while the wedding banquet takes place on earth, MAT 25:1-13.

The disciples have been taught about the Old Testament Feasts, the New Moon, the Sabbaths, the Old Testament sacrifices, the Temple and the furniture, the Sermon on the Mount.

Without a correct understanding o“By this [loving one another with virtue-love] all men will know that you are My disciples” f this passage, everyone thinks that discipleship is running around putting aside your doctrinal differences and loving each other.

JOH 13:35 - He is saying that discipleship and love are definitely related but it is the love of God not the human love of man.

It is through discipleship or learning Bible doctrine that virtue-love is developed to the point where it can be released toward others.

New - adjective “kainos” = new in contrast to old or new in species.

LEV 19:18 “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

A new commandment for a new species for “kainos” is used -
2CO 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;

Being a new creature or a new species demands a new set of instructions or commands.

The “new commandment” is based upon the fact that TLJC will have been raised from the dead, glorified, absent from the earth, seated at the right hand of the Father, and we have entered in to the intensified stage of the angelic conflict.

The “new commandment” obviously is based on some new provision that did not exist before this dispensation.

There are “new provisions” for the “new spiritual species” which allow the believer to love in a “brand new way.”

The baptism of the Spirit means that God the Holy Spirit has placed every believer in union with Christ.

With our union with Christ plus our very own portfolio of invisible assets, prepared for us by God the Father in eternity past, we are given the ability to do things that Old Testament saints could not do.

The indwelling of all three persons of the Trinity, something that has never occurred before, is also another factor.

1JO 4:8b - God is love.

For the first time in history every believer has been given the unique availability of divine power, the omnipotence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

This is why we all have a supernatural way of life with supernatural means to execute it.

Give - pres-act-ind - didomi - divdwmi = to give us something graciously, and God in His grace is providing for us this wonderful love.

“That” - conjunction - “hina” - i@na = introduces a purpose clause -
pres-act-subj - agapate - a*gapa'te = impersonal unconditional love.

2TH 3:5 And may the Lord direct your hearts [right lobe] into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 18. The mystery behind the new commandment.

Sunday, February 13, 2005

“Now” = the approaching crisis for which Jesus Christ will go through the humiliation of the cross, and then the glorification of resurrection, ascension, and session.

God’s glory will be on display. In glorifying the Lord, He Himself, God the Father is also glorified – there is glory all around.

The Father planned it.
The Son executed the plan.
The Holy Spirit reveals the plan.

“Little children” – vocative noun “teknia” – tekniva = actually a nursery term that in this case really means “spiritual children” or “ignorant ones” or “ones lacking knowledge.”

They have been arguing about which one of them was the greatest and then who it was that was betraying Jesus and therefore they were ignorant of the word of God, LUK 22:24, JOH 13:22.

MAR 10:15 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

43 days – three days in the ground and forty in His resurrection body.

JOH 13:35 “By this [loving one another with virtue-love] all men will know that you are My disciples” –
He is saying that discipleship and love are definitely related, but it is the love of God not the human love of man.

It is through discipleship or learning Bible doctrine that virtue-love is developed to the point where it can be released toward others.

New – adjective “kainos” = new in contrast to old or new in species.

LEV 19:18 “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Ahab – LEV 19:19 = a love based upon certain conditions, or a conditional love; to act friendly toward your neighbor.

He is going to command agape love – a mental attitude free from mental attitude sins, a relaxed mental attitude with respect for the volition of another person and a willingness to lay down your life for others.

It is going to be a “new command” with a “new power” to fulfill the command.

PSA 139:21-22 Do I not hate those who hate Thee, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against Thee? I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my enemies.

PSA 137:8-9 O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have repaid us. How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones Against the rock.

PSA 137:8-9 And you, Babylonians, ravagers! A reward to whoever gets back at you for all you’ve done to us; Yes, a reward to the one who grabs your babies and smashes their heads on the rocks!
PSA 58:6 O God, shatter their teeth in their mouth; Break out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord.

MAT 5:43-44 You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.”

A new commandment for a new species, for “kainos” is used –
2CO 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;

Being a new creature or a new species demands a new set of instructions or commands.

The “new commandment” is based upon the fact that TLJC will have been raised from the dead, glorified, absent from the earth, seated at the right hand of the Father, and we have entered in to the intensified stage of the angelic conflict.

We call it the intensified stage of the angelic conflict because it is divided into 2 parts, the Church-age, the hidden stage, and the Tribulation, the overt stage.

The Church-age is the most intensive hidden part of the angelic conflict because in this particular age the life of every believer is a target, in contrast to the Old Testament dispensation, when Christ and the line of Christ was the target.

You have the indwelling of all three persons of the Trinity, something that has never occurred before.

1JO 4:8b – God is love.

For the first time in history every believer has been given the unique availability of divine power, the omnipotence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is why we all have a supernatural way of life with a supernatural means to execute it.

Give – pres-act-ind – didomi – divdwmi = to give us something graciously, and God in His grace is providing for us this wonderful love.

2TH 3:5 And may the Lord direct your hearts [right lobe] into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.

a. God is sovereign; therefore, His love is self-motivated.
He chooses to love freely without any strings attached or ulterior motives.

b. God is also eternal; therefore, God’s love exists eternally unsustained by Himself or any other source.
JER 31:3 The Lord appeared to him from afar, {saying,} “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”

If we are going to operate in the love of God, then we must realize that God’s love does not increase or decrease like human love.

c. God is holy; therefore, the love of God possesses perfect integrity, which includes incorruptible justice and immutable righteousness.

Because God is holy and unchangeable, divine love cannot be compromised by man’s sins, human good, evil, or any other function of the sin nature, including Christian degeneracy. God’s love is always fair. He is always just and righteous when He loves.

MAT 5:46-7-8 If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.”

d. God is also omniscient; God has knowledge of all things, past, present, future.
God knew billions of years ago about our sins and failures, but His knowledge of these did not cancel His love.

EPH 4:32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
JOH 13:35 “By this [loving one another with virtue-love] all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have virtue-love for one another.”

Nor does God’s love for us increase because we advance to spiritual adulthood.

e. God is absolute truth and veracity; divine love is revealed and integrated into every category of Bible doctrine and every form of knowledge which resides in His absolute being. 1TH 4:9 Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

Bible doctrine is the thinking or mind of Christ, 1CO 2:16; therefore, divine love is rooted in every form of knowledge.

PHI 1:9 In fact, I pray this, that your virtue-love may excel to the maximum still more and more by means of metabolized doctrine resulting in all spiritual discernment,

Kenneth Wuest – Word Studies, Volume Two –
“Namely that your love yet more and more may overflow, but at the same time be kept within the guiding limitations of an accurate knowledge of God’s word.”

f. God is also infinite; all members of the Trinity are without boundary or limitation when it comes to divine love.
If you operate in the love of God then your system of thinking concerning “love” will be one with no boundaries and limitations toward those you are loving.

g. God is also immutable; His divine love is unchangeable, stable, compatible with His perfect character, and cannot be corrupted by anything.
Because God is immutable, His love does not increase or diminish.

God’s love cannot be changed by any form of human failure or vacillation, moral or immoral degeneracy.
MAL 3:6 “For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.”

Divine love does not improve or decline, increase or decrease.
Man’s sinfulness and failure cannot and does not change or affect God’s unchangeable divine love.
Even God’s pre-knowledge of our sins and failures did not cancel or diminish God’s love for us.

God’s love always depends on God’s character never on man’s character.
God’s love has no strings attached to it.

The combination of omniscience [God knowing all things] plus immutability [He never changes] means that God’s love cannot be complicated by or associated with ignorance, silliness, absurdities, or emotion.

In human love, man’s capacity for love is constantly changing.
Divine love is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 19. THE NEW COMMANDMENT FOR THE INTENSIFIED STAGE OF THE ANGELIC CONFLICT. JOH 13:34-37; 1TI 4:1-2

Robert McLaughlin Bible Ministries

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 19. The new commandment for the intensified stage of the angelic conflict.

Wednesday, February 16, 2005

This “new commandment” is designed to meet the intensified stage of the angelic conflict.

The angelic conflict is the result of prehistoric creatures being in opposition to God, which began with the fall of Satan, and continued until all angelic creatures had made a decision for or against God.

The angelic conflict refers to the two trials of Satan and fallen angels, one in prehistoric times, the other during human history.

EPH 6:12 Our warfare is not against blood and flesh but against rulers [demon general officers], against authorities [demon officer corps], against world rulers of this darkness [demon ambassadors], against spirit forces of evil in the heavenlies [rank and file demons].

During the Church-age, demon attacks on believers are limited to demon influence, in which the doctrine of demons or the “thoughts” of the fallen angels invade the right lobe of the soul.

2CO 2:11 In order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

EPH 6:11 Pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground against the schemes or the strategies of the devil.

Satan’s offensive action demands, on our part, dependence on the Lord and the wall of fire.

The Church-age is the most difficult yet exciting time in history; for God’s plan for the Church is superior in every way to God’s plan for previous and future dispensations.

With doctrine, the Church is the greatest power structure against Satan’s rule of the earth.

When Satan makes splinters out of the Church through causing divisions, gossip, judging, denominationalism, the power structure is gone - replaced by human power and human organization which can never be a substitute for divine power and divine organization.

The Lord left behind the Church to challenge Satan, with the potential to share in the victory that our Lord won in the angelic conflict.

Jesus Christ does not come down to the earth today to bail you out as He did with believers in the past.

You have a portfolio of invisible assets and the PPOG.

During the Old Testament, Jesus Christ was present many times on earth, including His incarnation which occurred in the dispensation of Israel. In the Millennium He will be on the earth ruling for 1000 years.

The invisible impact of history resides in you, dependent upon your routine, your daily perception of doctrine.

The Church-age exists to challenge Satan during the absence of Christ from the earth.

One of his most successful ploys is to use friends, family, neighbors, enemies, fellow-workers, or other believers to hinder the progress of any believer.

This new command to love with an impersonal unconditional virtuous love will solve people problems.

We actually believe that the problems we have in life come from people only, and that is not true, EPH 6:12.

1. In personal love or admiration, the object of your love often controls your life or provides for you unhappiness, unless you have attained spiritual self-esteem, spiritual autonomy, or spiritual maturity.

2. In personal hatred or animosity, the object of your antagonism or irritation often has control of your life or happiness, unless you have advanced to spiritual adulthood.

The solution to problems with people is found in the combination of personal love for God and impersonal love for all mankind.

When you become jealous, angry, bitter, vindictive, or implacable; when you are dissatisfied, antagonistic toward someone else, friend or stranger, lover or enemy; you surrender the control of your life to that person.

People can only become a distraction to the fulfillment of God’s plan for your life when human relationship becomes more important to you than Bible doctrine.

LUK 14:26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple [My student of doctrine].”

Whether it is love or hatred, attraction or animosity, romance or disenchantment, friendship or disillusion, these can distract you from the fulfillment of the PPOG and the glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ; unless you learn how to love with this new command to love with impersonal unconditional virtuous love.

Impersonal love is the most obscure and underrated factor in the spiritual life today.

ROM 5:5 “the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

2CO 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”
1JO 2:5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected.

MAT 17:20 “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible to you.”
MAT 19:26 “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
LUK 18:27 “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”

MAR 9:23 “All things are possible to him who believes.”
JER 32:17 “Ah Lord God! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee.”

All of you who place other things in life above doctrine in your false scale of values are losing all the equal privilege and opportunity God has provided for you in time to advance spiritually.

1JO 2:28 And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.

Beginning in JOH 13:36, we now have the four inquisitive disciples, Peter, Thomas, Philip and Jude.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 20. THE MYSTERY BEHIND OUR LORD'S ANSWER TO PETER. JOH 13:36-14:1; JOH 10:17-18; JOH 18:15-27

What it means to be initiated into the mystery. Part 20. The mystery behind our Lord’s answer to Peter.

Thursday, February 17, 2005

The 4 inquisitive disciples: Peter, Thomas, Philip, and Jude.

1. The question of Peter and its answer, JOH 13:36-14:4.

2. The question of Thomas, and the answer to his question, JOH 14:5-7.

3. The third question and answer has to do with Philip, JOH 14:8-21.

4. The fourth question and answer has to do with Jude, not Judas Iscariot, JOH 14:22-31.

Kurie – kuvrie = a recognition of the deity of Jesus Christ.

TLJC is about to go through the humiliation of the cross, and the glorification of resurrection, ascension, and session.

In the meantime, Peter has died and his soul and spirit are in the presence of the Father, 2CO 5:8.

The uniqueness of the cross, and the uniqueness of the death of Christ.

LUK 23:46 “Father, into Thy hands I commit My [human] spirit.” And having said this, He breathed His last[His soul stopped breathing].

After He died physically His spirit went to the third heaven, His soul went to Paradise, and His body was in the grave, and He is the only member of the human race who at physical death had a trichotomous separation.

For the believer, his body goes into the grave, and the soul and the spirit go to the presence of the Lord, 2CO 5:8.

Then the spirit came from the presence of the Father, the soul came up from Hades.

ACT 2:27 Because Thou wilt not abandon my soul to Hades, Nor allow Thy Holy One to undergo decay.

His soul came up from Hades and His spirit comes from the presence of the Father, and then body and soul and spirit go down to Tartarus, and no one ever did that, 1PE 3:18-19.

1PE 3:18-19 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; by Whom also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in Tartarus,

Then He walked on this earth for 40 days in a resurrection body and no one has ever done that –
ACT 1:3 To these He also presented Himself alive, after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over {a period of} forty days,

Then He ascended into the presence of the Father through the three sets of heavens, billions and billions of light-years away.

PSA 110:1 “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet.”

Emotional people will be for you one day against you the next.

What people say is no stronger than their character.

“For you” – preposition huper – u + genitive pronoun sou – sou' substitutionary = “I will lay down my soul as a substitute for you.”

Peter had good intentions, he was very sincere, but very ignorant of doctrine.

This is a case of zeal without knowledge of doctrine, ROM 10:1, therefore Peter is disoriented to the plan of God.

He is in emotional revolt and on the surface this seems like a very noble and sincere thing, the trouble is that sincerity is not a virtue in the Christian life.

JOS 24:14 Now, therefore, respect the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth;

1. Sincerity + ignorance = disorientation to the plan of God as well as malfunction.
2. Sincerity, at best, can produce human good and there is no place in the plan of God for human good.

3. The plan of God the Father also calls for Peter to represent the glorified Christ on earth as an apostle and ambassador.
4. God the Father’s plan for Peter cannot advance until the Lord is glorified and, in effect, in his sincerity, Peter is trying to keep the Lord from being glorified.

Imagine, he wants to die instead of the Lord – if Peter had his way there would be no salvation. He would be a martyr instead of the great apostle that he later became.

MAR 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

1. The heart contains all thought and standards, the emotion contains nothing.
2. Emotion is something empty and waiting to respond.
3. Emotion contains no doctrine, no thought, no common sense, and no ability to reason.
4. Emotion is not designed to assume authority over the soul, but is designed to be dominated by the right lobe.

Peter’s admirable motivation and good intentions are neutralized by ignorance of Bible doctrine.

Ignorance of doctrine neutralizes the best of motives and destroys the nobility of the individual.

Emotionalism and human good always lead to failure.

Here is a message to a man before his failure so that after his failure these things will be a source of comfort and blessing.

Some even believe that the three questions that the Lord asked in Joh 21 were designed for Peter to redeem himself.

GAL 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
1CO 10:12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
LUK 18:11 The Pharisee stood and was praying thus to himself, “God, I thank Thee that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-gatherer.”

ROM 12:3 For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think;

1. He fell asleep at the prayer meeting in Gethsemane, MAT 26:40.
2. He picked up a sword at the way to Gethsemane and he tried to physically defend Jesus Christ, neither of these things in the plan of God, JOH 18:10.

3. He followed TLJC from a distance, MAT 26:58.
4. He denied the Lord 3 times, JOH 18:15-27.
5. He went out and wept bitterly, MAT 26:75.

His motivation was strong, his sincerity was great, but he was a believer operating out of the plan of God, and so he hit bottom.

“Be troubled” – pres-pass-imp – tarassestho – tarassevsqw = to be confused, upset, distressed, discouraged, to be stirred up or disturbed in your thinking – “Do not become discouraged in your heart.”

PHI 3:13 Brethren [members of the Royal Family of God], I evaluate myself as not yet having attained the objective [ultra-supergrace or the ultimate objective in time, living in resurrection life]; but one thing I concentrate upon: constantly forgetting the things that lie behind and pursuing vigorously to what lies ahead

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 21. The mystery behind our permanent dwelling place.

Friday, February 18, 2005

“Be troubled” - pres-pass-imp - tarasso = to be confused, upset, distressed, discouraged, to be stirred up or disturbed in your thinking -
“Do not become discouraged in your heart.”

Do not become disturbed in your heart from your failure.

PHI 3:13-14, Brethren [members of the Royal Family of God], I evaluate myself as not yet having attained the objective [ultra-supergrace or the ultimate objective in time, living in resurrection life]; but one thing I concentrate upon: constantly forgetting the things that lie behind and pursuing vigorously to what lies ahead, I keep on pressing on toward the objective for the purpose of the reward belonging to the upward call of God[Father], by means of Christ Jesus.

Forgetting - epilanthanomai - “forgetting” = does not mean to forget something important; it means to disregard silly things, things that are really not important in life, things that are distracting, petty, unjust, or evil.

You do not forget the bad things that happen to you as a part of suffering for blessing as you advance to maturity, but you disregard them and do not let them become a distraction through the reaction of bitterness, self-pity, vindictiveness, implacability, etc.

It does not really mean forgetting those things which are behind, but disregarding those things good or bad in your past which distract you from God’s plan for your life.

Past failure must never interfere with present momentum.
Past failures must never distract you from taking the high ground of spiritual maturity.

Past failures (skeletons in the closet) must never interfere with present spiritual momentum.
Both past failures and past successes can distract you from God’s plan.

“You will deny Me Peter, three times within the next 10 hours, however, if you are going to move forward, you cannot be distracted by your failures.”

The spiritual life is not designed to be haunted by past failures or past success.

To “believe in God” means to believe God when He says something.

JAM 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
MAR 1:24 “What do we have to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are - the Holy One of God!”

“Believe in God” = the inhale of Bible doctrine resulting in understanding the plan of the Father.

When you “believe God” it is simply recognition and orientation to His plan for your life.
“And believe also in Me” = whatever TLJC has taught, believe it.

Dwelling places - mone' = a place of residence; a permanent place of residence.

JOH 14:23 If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our [mone'] abode with him.

MAT 26:75 And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, “Before a cock crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Weeping expresses his frustration but the bitterness expresses the mental attitude, he tried so hard and failed so miserably.

Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist but the ability to start over.

If you add a little to a little, and then do it again, soon that little shall be much.

You are never a loser until you quit trying.

History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed.

God the Father has provided from eternity past everything that the believer would need to execute His perfect Plan for the Church-age, and this includes encouragement in times of adversity and failure.

The believer can receive encouragement simply by gathering together with other believers to hear the Word of God communicated by their divinely appointed pastor-teacher, 1PE 5:3, ACT 20:28.

He can also derive encouragement in adversity by understanding the immanency of the Rapture.

The believer can derive encouragement from the two immutable things: Who and What God is. What God has provided.

They do not need sympathy and someone to feel sorry for them, they need information by which to get up and go forward.

That permanent dwelling place is there not because of who and what you are, Peter, but because of who and what I am.

Because of the immutable, eternal, infinite attributes of God, He cannot cancel the salvation of any believer, no matter how gross that believer may be.

JUD 1:24-25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy,

The perfect integrity of God cannot be canceled by the failure or renunciation of any believer living on earth.

1CO 1:9 “God is faithful, through Whom you have been called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

It is impossible for him to fail, grace plus the essence of God says God cannot and will not ever fail.

If = a second class condition of supposition, suppose it had been true, I would have told you Peter.

You can fall from grace, but falling from grace simply means to operate under legalism -
GAL 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

“I go” = to travel from one place to another - poreuomai.

By His death on the cross, Jesus Christ has propitiated the Father, he has reconciled Peter, he has procured the right for every believer to live in heaven forever, regardless of whether they fail or succeed in this life

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 22. The mystery behind the Jewish Wedding custom.

While the chapters and verses are often very well divided, they are not inspired.

Emotional people will be for you one day, and against you the next.

Peter had good intentions, he was very sincere, but very ignorant of doctrine.

Some of you might be hearing a message before you fail so that after your failure these things will be a source of comfort and blessing.

1. “Do not become discouraged in your heart.”

Someone has to hit you with an imperative or a command to get you up out of the swamp of your self-pity and discouragement and feeling sorry for yourself.

2. Believe in God - believe God when He says something.
3. “And believe also in Me” = believing whatever TLJC has taught.

Dwelling places - mone' = a permanent place of residence.

This is a reference to the Rapture of the Church or when TLJC comes back in the clouds of the air to take His church or His bride out of the world to forever be with Him.

Isagogics = the historical setting of the passage.
In the analogy, the ultimate meaning of marriage = Christ is the groom and the Church-age believer is the bride.

2CO 11:2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

REV 19:7 “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride [church] has made herself ready.”
REV 21:9 One of the seven angels said to the apostle John, “Come here, I shall show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

a. The Contract
b. The Price
c. The Cup
d. The Departure of the Bridegroom
e. The “Stealing” of the Bride
f. The Bridal Chamber
g. The Marriage Supper

1. The Contract.
Jewish marriages were by contract such as in the manner that we purchase real estate today.

Within the contract, there would be the rules of the waiting period before the bridegroom would come back for his bride and other standard features of a normal matrimonial agreement.

If you want to happy for the rest of your life, never take a pretty woman your wife so from my personal point of view
get an ugly girl to marry you.

GEN 24:51 - Rebecca married a man she never met.

The spiritual analogy - throughout the Gospels “whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
ACT 10:34 “I most certainly understand {now} that God is not one to show partiality,”

2. The Price.
Each bride had a price and the prospective bridegroom was expected to pay it.
The “bride price” also served to show that the bridegroom was indeed in love, or at least serious when he made his proposal.

3. The Cup.
The cup was a formality establishing the bride’s answer to the proposal.

2PE 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them,

4. The Departure.
As soon as the bride drank the cup the bridegroom would make a little speech on the order of, “I go to prepare a place for you.”
He then returned to his father’s house to build her a bridal chamber, a dwelling place, for their honeymoon.

JOH 14:2-3 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

The Lord came to our house and brought up a contract which we call the new covenant or New Testament, MAT 26:28.
1PE 1:18-19 knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

MAT 26:27 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.”

The bride would spend her time (up to two years), gathering her clothes and accessories and getting her oil lamp ready to travel at night, MAT 25:1-13.

1TH 5:2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

1TH 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

As the future bride was waiting for her bridegroom, whenever she went out she kept her veil on signifying that she was spoken for and in effect, keeping her faith in good order and not mixing with the world.

MAT 24:42 Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.

Meanwhile, at the bridegroom’s father’s house, the young man would build a beautiful bridal chamber as fast as he could.
The bridegroom did not know the wedding day either.

MAT 24:3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what {will be} the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
MAT 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

5. The “Stealing” of the Bride.
The bride was “stolen” in the sense that the groom would come completely unannounced in the middle of the night and seize her out of her bed.

In order to prevent the young man from literally snatching the girl out of her bed and to give her a few moments to prepare herself, the rules were that when he got close enough to her house to be heard, someone in the wedding party had to shout.

6. The Bridal Chamber.
The bride and groom would arrive finally back at the bridal chamber and shut the door behind them.

JOH 3:29 - John the Baptist is called “the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears Him.”
LUK 7:28 “I say to you, among those born of women, there is no one greater than John.”

When the marriage was consummated through sexual intercourse, the bridegroom would tell the best man through the door and he would tell the other guests.

ISA 64:6 “all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment.”

The bridal chamber represents the Judgment Seat of Christ and the place or the honeymoon where the groom removes the bride’s veils and knows her secrets.

1CO 4:5 Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God.

7. The Marriage Supper.
The reception; a banquet for the new couple.

After the meal the bride and groom would typically leave his father’s house and go to the housing that the groom had arranged for them.
After seven years (the seven days of the wedding) we will return to earth with our Bridegroom.

JOH 14:2-3 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.”
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 23. The profile of a reversionist.

Wednesday, February 23, 2005

The Lord is answering Peter, and while Peter knows doctrine, he has failed to apply it.

Bible doctrine can be rejected at one of three stages:
1. Perception stage
2. Metabolization stage
3. Application stage.

Thomas is ignorant of doctrine and therefore cannot apply it.

Thomas is probably best known for his inability to believe that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead.

MAT 14:31 “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
JAM 1:6 But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
JUD 1:22 And have mercy on some, who are doubting;

Once a person becomes a believer in TLJC and neglects or rejects or becomes negative toward doctrine, he appears to be stupid because he is in reversionism - going backward in the spiritual life, rather than forward.

PRO 14:14 The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways,

When a believer is disoriented to the plan of God for his life, ultimately he is disoriented to life itself.

A reversionist, someone who is going backward in the spiritual life rather than forward, inevitably gets into some form of neurosis or psychosis and inevitably he becomes a psychopathic personality.

Thomas is ignorant of the cross, the resurrection, ascension and session to which the humanity of Christ is going to be glorified.

“The way” = the entrance into the plan of God.
“The truth” = what Thomas should be learning after he enters into the plan of God.
“The life” = the function that comes from truth or doctrine.

“The way” is the noun hodos = used for entrance into a systematic course of planning and action.

ROM 16:25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past,

1CO 2:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden {wisdom,} which God predestined before the ages to our glory;
EPH 1:9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him

EPH 3:3-4, that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. And by referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
EPH 3:9 and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things;

EPH 6:19 and {pray} on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
COL 1:26-27, {that is,} the mystery which has been hidden from the {past} ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

COL 2:2 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and {attaining} to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, {resulting} in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, {that is,} Christ {Himself},

COL 4:3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;
1TI 3:9 {but} holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.

Everyone enters into the plan of God at exactly the same place, which means everyone has the same chance and the same opportunity to glorify God and become a winner - equal privilege, equal opportunity.

“Hodos” - the way = entrance into the plan of God, a plan that is already laid out, a plan in which everything is provided, categorized by one word, “grace.”

Truth - “aletheia” = truth or doctrine taught categorically.

1TI 2:3-4 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

JOH 1:17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

“The life” or the zoe is the function that comes from truth or doctrine.

After “the way,” the truth is the most important.

PSA 138:2 I will bow down toward Thy holy temple, And give thanks to Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and Thy truth; For Thou hast magnified Thy word according to all Thy name.

ACT 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they {began} rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

2TH 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you;

As the entrance, TLJC is our savior and took our place on the cross instead.
As the truth, Bible doctrine is the mind of Christ.
As the life, once we enter supergrace, our greatest function is occupation with the person of Christ.

The second class condition of the word “if” is used to denote a statement of negation or unreality; a “contrary to the fact” condition.
“If” and it is not true = the second class condition.

“If” - conjunction ei - ei* + “had known” - pluperfect-act-ind - egnokeite - e*gnwvkatev = Thomas had the opportunity to know the Lord but he rejected it.

Pluperfect = every day that you log in reversionism, there is something that you could have understood and some question that you could have answered with doctrine in your own soul, if you had only recovered from reversionism and had P.V.T.D.

The more you live in reversionism, the more complex become the questions in your soul.

PSA 90:12 So teach us to number our days, That we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.

PSA 119:97 “O how I love Your doctrine, I think about it all day long.”

2CO 4:16 “Therefore we are not discouraged, for though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is renewed day by day.”

1. The principle of organized time, JAM 4:3-17.

2. Redeemed time -
EPH 5:16-18 “Constantly buying time, because the days are evil. Because of this, stop being ignorant, but completely understand the will [purpose] of the Lord.”

3. Utilized time, 1CO 7:29-31.

1CO 7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;

1CO 7:30-31, and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess; and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.

Each day is a grace gift, JOH 11:9-10.

JOH 11:9-10, Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

The only time we possess to honor God in time is the number of days He provides for us in the Christian life,PSA 90:12, JAM 4:13-15.

It is important to learn Bible doctrine every day, JER 15:16, MAT 4:4.

When you waste time in reversionism, as well as all the other problems that accompany reversionism, you create in your soul a question box.

JOH 14:7 - when the Lord used the second class condition, if but it is not true, the Lord is saying, “Thomas you have had time to learn these things.”

Thomas is saved, he called the Lord “kurios,” and the Lord says “I am the entrance.”

“You know Him” -
pres-act-ind - ginosko - progressive present tense = you can begin to know and keep on knowing Him.

The iterative present recurs at successive intervals, or periods of time.

The Son is the revealer of the Father, JOH 1:18.

Once Christ ascends the plan of God the Father is seen through His word.

You cannot see it by going to the word and looking at it; you must be under the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher as doctrine is taken from the word and communicated to you.

EPH 4:12 - equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, to the building up of the body of Christ;

1. No believer can attain spiritual maturity and become an invisible hero or glorify God apart from perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine.
2. The Bible is our textbook, but the gift of pastor-teacher is designed to communicate the specifics of the mystery doctrine that cause spiritual growth.

3. No believer can read the Bible daily for himself and discover and learn the mystery doctrine for the Church-age, and understand the mechanics of the PPOG.
4. Every believer must take the responsibility for his own decisions, therefore, the believer must make decisions with regard to his selection of his own pastor-teacher, and his faithfulness in learning Bible doctrine from that pastor-teacher.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 24. THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE DIVINE SARCASM TO PHILIP. JOH 14:8-11; JOH 6:1-7; JOH 12:21-22

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 24. The mystery behind divine sarcasm to Philip.

Thursday, February 24, 2005

According to the Gospel of John, Philip met Jesus beyond the Jordan River during John the Baptist’s ministry.

Philip responded and brought to Jesus another disciple, named Nathanael, JOH 1:43-51, or Bartholomew, MAR 3:18.

Instead of responding in faith, Philip began to calculate the food it would take to feed them and the cost, JOH 6:5-7.

1. Those who are afraid of failing and therefore they never try anything.
2. Those who try anything because they are not afraid to fail.

It is much better to fail and learn the valuable lessons that the Lord will teach you than to sit back and not do a thing.

It is a challenge for him to say, “We do not have to go anywhere to buy bread, You are the Son of the living God.”

“He kept on saying” = imperfect-act-ind - lego.

At this time a denarii was worth 16 cents, and that was a day’s wages in the Roman Empire.

In effect, Philip is thinking the exact same thoughts most of us would be thinking which is human viewpoint.

200 is always found in scripture in an evil connection and therefore it suitably expresses Philip’s heart of unbelief.

Achan’s 200 shekels were “not sufficient” to save him from the consequences of his sin, JOS 7:21.

Absalom’s 200 shekels weight of hair were “not sufficient” to save him, but rather caused his destruction, 2SA 14:26; 18:9.

Micah’s graven image was purchased for 200 shekels, JUD 17:4,18, and led to the introduction of idolatry into Israel, showing us the insufficiency of mere religion.

Ezra’s 200 singing men and women, Ezra 2:65, were “not sufficient” to produce “peace with God,” true spiritual worship, or joy in the Lord.

2CO 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2CO 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight -

He even recruited others to follow TLJC as the Messiah, JOH 1:43-45.

Philip also seemed to lack some confidence with his relationship with TLJC, JOH 12:20-22.

Philip is one of those believers loaded down with human viewpoint and he was a believer who rejected the teaching of our Lord, though he was impressed with the person of our Lord.

“Show us” - imper-act-imp - deixon - dei'xon = to demonstrate, to prove, to teach, to make known.

Enough - pres-act-ind - arkei - a*rkei' = to be content, satisfied or pleased.

The objective of the communication of Bible doctrine is not to please the listener but to teach the listener, to inculcate, to indoctrinate.

Peter’s problem was failure to apply.
Peter is too strong-willed a person.
Thomas was just a straight case of reversionism and he had a caustic and pessimistic mind.

Philip’s problem was failure to concentrate on the teaching of Bible doctrine.

JOH 5:19 “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless {it is} something He sees the Father doing; for whatever {the Father} does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”

JOH 5:23 “in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”

JOH 6:46 “Not that any man has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.”
JOH 8:19 “if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.”
JOH 10:30 “I and the Father are one.”

Philip’s problem is that he can sit in Bible class where the Lord is the teacher for approximately 3 years, and never get a thing.

Bible doctrine in the soul provides self-discipline which provides greater concentration, which provides what Philip did say here, arkeo - happiness plus contentment or satisfaction.

“Ouk” - the strongest negative for rejection of doctrine.

Ginosko = nothing has come through yet, you know nothing.

The Lord is saying that through the word of God the Father, and the power given to Him, He was able to do the works that God the Father called Him to do.

Every believer is to take the word of God and mix it with the power of God and perform the works that God the Father calls him to perform.

GAL 1:12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

TLJC, who is the one who gave the gift of apostleship to men, EPH 4:8-11, is the one who chose Paul to be the ultimate communicator of the mystery doctrine.

1CO 1:25-26, Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can’t begin to compete with God’s “weakness.” Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families.

1CO 1:27-28, Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”?

1CO 1:29-30, That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have - right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start - comes from God by way of Jesus Christ.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 25. I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME. JOH 14:8-14; HEB 5:11-13; PSA 103:1-5

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery, Part 25. I am in the Father, and the Father in me.

He is like many believers who have had the communication of Bible doctrine available to them for a long time but do not want it until they are in some jam.

This is co-equality, co-eternity of essence, the Father and the Son have identical essence.
Whenever the Scripture says God is one, it is talking about the essence of God.

When there is a distinction between the members of the Godhead, we are talking about a principle of distinction, which is personality, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.

Identical - they have the same eternal life, the same omnipotence, the same omniscience, omnipresence, immutability, sovereignty, justice, righteousness, love, veracity.

The failure of Philip to learn doctrine, the doctrine of seeing God, is his failure to realize that all 3 persons of the Godhead have identical essence.

The humanity of Christ can be seen and the humanity of Christ can be heard as He teaches doctrine to the disciples.

Sovereignty, righteousness, justice, love, eternal life. Omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability, and veracity.

EPH 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

You cannot see God with your human eyes but if you are born again with the human spirit and the left lobe of the soul, your spiritual eyes, you can see God.

Here is the Father, and here is the Son, they are identical in essence.
Then here is the Son only, in His humanity, which can be seen.

JOH 6:63 the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Verse 10 - “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me.”

It is the Holy Spirit who teaches the human spirit of Jesus, and from there doctrine goes into His human soul and He is not speaking from His own initiative.

The whole thing goes back to the Father’s plan - billions of years ago it was the Father’s plan since the Son and the Spirit and Himself were all coequal and coeternal.

The Father did the planning, the Father is providing for the humanity of Christ the indwelling of the Spirit and the indwelling of the Father.

Pisteuo = “Believe Me,” twice. It is a command.
"Believe Me” the person, then “believe Me” the production.

Think about how many times the Lord came through for you in your hour of difficulty and trial even though you were totally unworthy, He was always there for you.

Even though you were going in the wrong direction, grace was given to sustain you.

The problem that a lot of believers have is failure to recall the blessings and the promises of God.

Neuter plural - meizona meivzona = greater in quantity but not quality.

Prayer is addressed to the Father, MAT 6:6-9, EPH 1:17; EPH 3:14, 1PE 1:17, in the name of or through the channel of the Son, JOH 14:13-14, and in the enabling power (filling) of God the Holy Spirit, EPH 6:18.

1. Prayer is not designed to get us out of trouble but to express our helplessness, our humility, our total dependence on God, and our recognition of His grace and His mercy toward us.

2. Prayer should not be based upon what we want but what God wants for us.

3. Prayer was never designed to fulfill our lusts and desires; prayer is designed to fulfill the will, plan, and purpose of God for our lives.

4. To express the will of God in your prayers, you have to come to know what the will of God is or how to ask for the will of God instead of your own will.

ISA 65:24 “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.”

5. Prayers and their answers were entered into the divine decrees, so that answers, rejections, petitions, interjections, and desires are all printouts of the decrees in the foreknowledge of God.

6. All answered prayer is part of your portfolio of invisible assets.

All prayer is offered through the channel of our great high priest, in the name of the Son, JOH 14:13-14.

All effective prayer is offered through the filling of the Spirit or the enabling power of the Spirit inside the PPOG, EPH 6:18.

“If” is a third class condition, maybe you do, maybe you do not.

Capacity to love Jesus Christ is based upon the intake of Bible doctrine.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INITIATED INTO THE SECRET OF THE MYSTERY, PART 26. THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

What it means to be initiated into the secret of the mystery. Part 26. The ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Pisteuo = “Believe Me,” twice. It is a command.

First of all, “Believe Me” the person, then “Believe Me” the production.

If you will not believe Me because I command you to believe Me then believe Me because of the things I have done in the past, believe Me because of the miracles, the works, the production, the divine good.

“If” is a third class condition, maybe you do, maybe you do not.

All believers do not love the Lord Jesus Christ.

“If you love me” –
pres-act-subj – agapate – a*gapa'tev = a mental attitude love.

We are expected to have phileo or personal love for the Lord but it is not commanded –
1CO 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha.

Before there can be a phileo [personal] love for the Lord there has to be an agape love which is a mental attitude of respect and then a personal love or attraction will be developed for TLJC.

Agape love directed toward God is a total mental concentration on the object of your love, it is not an emotional feeling whatsoever.

Pres-act-subj – agapao = a mental attitude love.

“Keep” – aor-act-imp – teresate – thrhvsete = to guard something that belongs to you, to protect something that belongs to you, watch carefully, or pay attention to something.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with certain unbelievers who cause you to compromise your doctrinal convictions, 2CO 6:14-15.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with certain family members who drag you down and try to hinder your relationship with God, MAT 10:34-38.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with those under the influence of legalism or religion, 2TI 3:5.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with those who reject or attack the teaching of doctrine, 2TH 3:6,14.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with those who are troublemakers and cause dissensions, ROM 16:17-18.

ROM 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Stay away from and have no fellowship with those who are involved with the cosmic system, ROM 12:1-3.
Stay away from and have no fellowship with those in your social life involved with excessive partying, JER 15:16-17; 1PE 4:3-4.

“Keep” – aor-act-imp – tereo = to guard something that belongs to you, to protect something that belongs to you, to watch carefully, or to pay attention to something.

2JO 1:8 Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

REV 3:11 “I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.”

COL 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self abasement [false humility] and the worship of the angels [demonic doctrine], taking his stand on visions he has seen [his personal revelations], inflated without cause by his fleshly mind.

1. Pastors keep repeating doctrine.
2. Be careful of those who say, the Lord has spoken to me and I now have a new revelation.

Commandments – noun – entolas = a divine prescription.

ISA 1:5-6 Where will you be stricken again, {As} you continue in {your} rebellion? The whole head is sick, And the whole heart is faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing sound in it, {Only} bruises, welts, and raw wounds, Not pressed out or bandaged, Nor softened with oil.

JER 17:9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?”

“Will give” – fut-act-ind – dosei – dwvsei = to give graciously.

“Helper” – parakleton – paravklhton = a helper, someone to assist, our mentor; in our case, mentor describes the ministry of God the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete-helper, the guide, the teacher, the counselor of every individual believer.

The Spirit of truth – “to pneuma tes aletheias” = used technically here for the third person of the Trinity, God the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of doctrine.

The Holy Spirit is the title of His person.
Spirit of truth is a functional title.

The Doctrine Of The Holy Spirit’s Mentorship. Point 1. Definition.

A metaphor = the application of a word or a phrase to an object or concept it does not literally denote in order to suggest a comparison or analogy with another word or concept.

Biblical metaphors are the basis for teaching, clarifying, illuminating, and communicating the absolutes of Bible doctrine.

“Mentor” was taken from the 9th century B.C. Homer’s Odyssey, used for a name of a very loyal and trusted counselor of Ulysses.

In the English, mentor is used for a very close and trusted counselor, a guide, advisor, or a teacher.

Mentor describes the ministry of God the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete-helper, the guide, the teacher, the counselor of every individual believer.

Point 2. Our Lord’s Prophecy of the Mentorship of the Holy Spirit.

Paracletos = primarily a helper, a counselor, someone who can instill wisdom into your soul.

“Because He lives with you” – par + personal pronoun humin = describes the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the disciples during the dispensation of the hypostatic union.

“And He will be in you” – prepositional phrase – en + locative plural – personal pronoun humin = describes the ministry of the Holy Spirit to Church-age believers.

Paracletos = primarily a helper, a counselor, someone who can instill wisdom into your soul.

“Because He lives with you” describes the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the disciples during the dispensation of the hypostatic union, the Holy Spirit was with them.

“And He will be in you” describes the ministry of the Holy Spirit to Church-age believers, the Holy Spirit will be in them.

The mentorship of the Holy Spirit is part of the three spiritual skills.

The filling of the Holy Spirit is the first power option and the first spiritual skill in the spiritual life.

The filling of the Spirit converts human I.Q. into spiritual I.Q., so that we have equality to learn spiritual phenomena.

Human I.Q. is a matter of genetics and therefore an inequality factor from birth.
Human I.Q. is the unequal genetic product beyond human control through physical birth.

The spiritual I.Q., provided by our Mentor, is the equal opportunity under divine control of the spiritual birth and the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

God’s equality is based on the forty things received at salvation, the two power options, the three spiritual skills, and your portfolio of invisible assets.

The second power option and the second spiritual skill is the word of God circulating in your stream of consciousness through the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit as a part of perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine.

1. The Frame of Reference.
2. The Memory Center.
3. Vocabulary Storage.
4. The Categorical Storage.
5. The Conscience.
6. The Momentum Department.
7. The Wisdom Department.

The third spiritual skill is the problem-solving devices deployed on the FLOT line of the soul.
