JR. TREE: REBOUND & BOUNCE BACK, PART 3.
Jr. Tree of Life Rebound-Bounce Back
Part 3
Before you begin this Bible study, if you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in
Jesus Christ as your Savior, then 1 John 1:9 tells us: “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and
righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God, the Holy Spirit, and He will teach you Bible truth (rebound).
Promise-Memory Verse
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Dawn loved writing stories. Everyone in the class was assigned a project that they had to write a chapter book. Dawn wrote a story called “Sugar the Dog,” and she even made 2 cardboard covers for it and glued flowered material on them. Even though she worked hard on it, her teacher gave her a lower grade because she turned it in 1 day late. Dawn was really mad at her teacher!
Was it the teacher’s fault that Dawn forgot to turn her assignment in on time? NO! It was Dawn’s fault. Dawn needed to bounce back into fellowship with God. She needed to tell God the Father what she did
wrong. This is called rebounding. Also, she had to pay the consequences by getting a lower grade.
Mr. Syric taught English and he was one of the most boring teachers in the whole school. Most of the students tried to pay attention, but it was really hard at times. He was one of the only teachers that still used chalk and a chalkboard to teach with.
One day before class, 2 twin boys Eric and Jarrod took all of the big erasers and clapped them together all around Mr. Syric’s desk.
When Mr. Syric came into the room and sat at his desk, he had an asthma attack and could barely breathe because of all of the chalk dust. It sure was a good thing that he had his rescue inhaler.
Both boys ended up being caught and they were really angry when they got suspended. They blamed Mr. Syric because he was so boring.
Was it Mr. Syric’s fault? NO! It was their fault. Eric and Jarrod needed to bounce back into fellowship with God. They needed to privately tell God the Father what they did wrong. This is called rebounding. They also had to pay the consequences by getting suspended.
It never pleases God when you do something wrong and blame someone else. God wants you to admit what you did right away. You need to respect your teachers whether you like them or not, even if they are boring or give you a bad grade.
Who needs to rebound?
Anyone who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and sins How do you rebound?
Inside of your mind just tell God the Father what you did wrong When do you rebound?
As soon as you do something wrong throughout the day Will you get in trouble after you rebound?
Sometimes you will and sometimes you won’t
