JR. TREE: REBOUND & BOUNCE BACK, PART 2.
Jr. Tree of Life Rebound-Bounce Back, Part 2.
Before you begin this Bible study, if you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, then 1 John 1:9 tells us: “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and
righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God, the Holy Spirit, and He will teach you Bible truth (Rebound).
Promise-Memory Verse
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Hunter’s favorite sport was basketball. He was so excited when he and most of his friends were chosen to play for their school team! They practiced every
chance that they could at each other’s houses.
Soon it was time to play the very first game of the
year. Hunter couldn’t wait to play. He was a little sad when the coach made him sit on the bench. But, he cheered his team on. Finally, the coach put him in the game in the last quarter.
Someone on the opposite team took a shot and it missed the basket and hit the rim. Hunter zoomed underneath the hoop and caught the ball and dribbled
it down the court and… swish! He scored the winning basket for his team! What Hunter did was rebound the ball, which meant that the ball bounced off the rim and he recovered it.
When we sin, we need to privately tell God the Father what we did wrong. That way we recover fellowship with God. God is pleased when you get in fellowship with Him. We call this rebounding or confessing your sin.
How do we know what we did is wrong? Some sins you speak with your mouth. Some you think, and some you do.
Speaking Sins: telling on someone, saying mean things about someone, making fun of someone, lying
Thinking Sins: being angry, being jealous, being afraid, hating someone
Doing Sins: kicking, your brother, stealing, being a bully, cheating on a test, disobeying
God tells us in Bible verse at the top of the lesson that if we confess (tell) our sins, to God. He will forgive you for what you did wrong and even for the stuff you didn’t know was wrong.
Who needs to rebound?
Anyone who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and sins How do you rebound?
Inside of your mind just tell God the Father what you did wrong When do you rebound?
As soon as you do something wrong throughout the day
