The fourth principle the Lord has established which guarantees that the human race will not self-destruct: The salvation work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

d. The salvation work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, which divides the human race into two categories, believers and unbelievers, JOH 3:18,36.

COL 4:5 “Conduct yourselves by means of doctrine toward unbelievers, making the most of the opportunity.”

If you really believe in God and His word, you have to believe that the unbeliever will go to a place described as a place of torment, LUK 16:28.

LUK 16:27-28 The rich man said, ‘Then I beg you, Father, that you send him to my father’s house - for I have five brothers - that he may warn them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’

LUK 16:24 - the rich man “cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.’”

It’s a place of unspeakable misery indicated by the term, “everlasting fire,”
MAT 25:41.

It’s a place where the worm [conscience] never dies and the fire is never quenched, MAR 9:44.

It’s the Lake (which many believe to be a liquid form of lava) which burns with fire and brimstone, REV 21:8.

This place of eternal suffering is also called:
2) A bottomless pit, REV 9:2,
3) Outer darkness, MAT 8:12
4) Fire unquenchable,
LUK 3:17
5) Furnace of fire, MAT 13:42
6) Blackness of darkness, Jud 13

MAT 13:42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

MAR 9:49 “For everyone will be salted with fire.”

REV 14:11 - “the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever and they have no rest day or night.”

REV 20:10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
REV 20:15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

REV 21:8 “But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
EPH 6:19 And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness [confidence] the mystery of the Gospel,

ROM 1:16 I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile.
ACT 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses
2TI 4:5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry [your full time Christian service].

a. The witness of the life, 2CO 3:3.
b. The witness of the lips, 2CO 5:18-20.

There are three areas of evangelism in which the power of God the H.S. functions in witnessing, given precisely in JOH 16:8-11.

He will convict the world of three things;
1. Concerning sin (not sins)
2. Righteousness
3. Judgment

The gospel is good news, and the good news is that every personal sin in human history was judged on the cross.

It says that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of “sin”...singular.

There is only one sin that takes a person to the eternal lake of fire and that is rejection of Jesus Christ as Savior.

All personal sins were judged once and for all on the cross, 2CO 5:14,15, 19; 1TI 2:4; 2:6; 4:10; Titus 2:11;HEB 2:9; 2PE 2:1, 1JO 2:2.

My Lord and Savior allowed every infant to be born into sin because condemnation must precede salvation.

My Lord and Savior imputed Adam’s original sin to the genetically formed OSN, so that ROM 5:18-21 is the reality -
So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

ROM 5:19-21, For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. And the Law came in that the transgression might increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

MAT 22:42 “What do you think about the Christ?”

TLJC is said to be “non posse peccare,” meaning “not able to sin.”
This refers to the deity of Christ.
Jesus Christ is also said to be “posse non peccare,” meaning “able not to sin.”
This refers to the humanity of Christ inside the PPOG for His life.

The humanity of Christ was both temptable and peccable; i.e., He had the ability to sin because His humanity had volition.
The deity of Christ was neither temptable nor peccable; therefore, He was impeccable.

He became “the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.”

The perfect resurrected humanity of TLJC ascended into the presence of God the Father where His righteousness was totally accepted in heaven forever and ever.

In witnessing the only righteousness that we have the right to make an issue out of is the righteousness of Christ!

If you’re going to live with God forever you have to be as good as God is, and the only way you can do that is to have God’s righteousness.

In verse 10, God the H.S. reveals in common grace the principle that the righteousness of God is the only righteousness accepted in heaven, and the righteousness of God is imputed to us at the moment that we believe in Christ.

Satan is the ruler of this world, JOH 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; 2CO 4:4; EPH 2:2.

MAT 25:41 “the eternal fire has been prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Like angelic creatures, mankind was given free will to demonstrate to Satan and all fallen angels the validity of God’s judgment on them.

The human being who rejects TLJC as Savior will share the condemnation of Satan and the fallen angels, REV 20:10-15.

The judgment of Satan and the angelic conflict is an excellent subject to deal with in witnessing.

JOH 16:9-10 Concerning one sin, the sin of unbelief,....because they do not believe in Me; concerning one man’s righteousness, the righteousness of TLJC Concerning one judgment, the ruler of this world [Satan] has been judged.

We are to communicate the proper information, and the Holy Spirit acts as a human spirit, so that the unbeliever can comprehend the Gospel properly, 1CO 2:14.
