God’s Master Plan Revealed in Genesis

This message reveals that the Cross of Jesus Christ was not an afterthought in history, but part of God’s plan from eternity past. Long before creation, redemption was already settled in the mind of God, and throughout Scripture we see glimpses pointing to that coming victory.
Beginning in Genesis, the fall of man introduced sin and physical death into the human race. Death itself stands as a reminder of humanity’s fallen condition, yet it is not the end. Every person is born physically alive but spiritually separated from God, and only through faith in Christ is the human spirit made alive and capable of true fellowship with Him.
God did not abandon His creation after the fall. In Genesis 3:15, He promised a Redeemer — the “Seed of the woman” — who would one day crush the serpent’s head. That promise was fulfilled through Jesus Christ, who succeeded where Adam failed. By His obedience, sinless life, and death on the Cross, He broke the power of Satan and opened the door for mankind to be restored to God.
The Old Testament continually foreshadows this reality. Abel’s lamb pointed to salvation by faith in God’s provision rather than human works. Cain’s offering represented mankind’s attempt to approach God through effort and self-righteousness. From the very beginning, acceptance with God has always been based on faith in the blood sacrifice that ultimately finds its fulfillment in Christ.
Even the flood of Noah’s day serves as a picture of the Cross. Just as the ark was the only place of safety from judgment, Jesus Christ is the only place of safety for humanity. Those inside the ark were delivered; those outside faced judgment. In the same way, those who are “in Christ” are secure, protected from condemnation, and given eternal life.
The message also emphasizes that following Christ involves rejecting the rule of the old sin nature. “Denying self” does not mean hating oneself, but choosing God’s authority over self-centered living and growing spiritually through His Word.
Ultimately, the Cross is the center of everything. It is where sin was judged, Satan’s power was broken, and eternal life was secured. At salvation, believers are made a new spiritual species, placed into union with Christ, and brought into the royal family of God. A good conscience and true peace do not come from trying harder, but from understanding identity, position, and security in Him.
From Genesis to the flood to the Cross, the message is the same: God had a plan from the beginning. What looked like defeat became the greatest victory in history. Through Jesus Christ, sin, fear, and death no longer have the final word.
