Most Christians Get This Wrong About the Cross | Father’s Day 2026

In this Father’s Day 2026 message, we continue our study on the Cross throughout the Scriptures and look at what it truly means to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. From Matthew 16 to Mark 10 and John 17, we see that following Christ is not about living for self, comfort, or earthly recognition — it is about denying self, taking up our own personal cross daily, and choosing the Father’s plan no matter the cost.

Jesus Christ knew every detail of what awaited Him: betrayal, mocking, scourging, the Cross, and the judgment for the sins of the world. Yet He set His face like flint and willingly went forward so that we could have eternal life. The Father’s glory was waiting on the other side of the Cross — and for every believer, the path of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and faithfulness still leads to glory.

This message also honors faithful fathers and spiritual leaders who reflect the heart of God by laying down their lives for others, teaching the Word of God, and pointing others to Jesus Christ.
