The Victorious Christian Way of Life
The victorious Christian way of life is not a life without problems.
It is not a life without failures, heartaches, opposition, or adversity.
It is a life lived by means of God's power rather than human strength.
Many believers spend their lives trying to solve spiritual problems with human solutions. They try harder, work harder, strive harder, and become frustrated when they discover that the Christian life cannot be lived in the energy of the flesh.
The victorious Christian understands a divine principle:
God never intended for you to live the Christian life on your own.
That is why He provided the filling of the Holy Spirit, the power of His Word, and the problem-solving devices found in Scripture.
Victory is not found in your circumstances.
Victory is found in your thinking.
"The mind set on the Spirit is life and peace." (Romans 8:6)
When doctrine becomes more real to you than your problems, you begin to experience the peace and stability that God designed for every believer.
The victorious believer is not the one who never falls.
The victorious believer is the one who continues to rebound, recover, learn doctrine, and move forward in God's plan regardless of setbacks.
Satan wants believers discouraged.
God wants believers advancing.
Satan wants you occupied with yourself.
God wants you occupied with Christ.
Satan wants you focused on what you have lost.
God wants you focused on what you have in Him.
Every day presents a choice:
Will you think human viewpoint or divine viewpoint?
Will you live by emotion or by doctrine?
Will you trust what you see or trust what God has said?
Victory begins when God's Word becomes the final authority in your life.
The victorious Christian way of life is not perfection.
It is persistence.
It is faithfulness.
It is growing in grace and knowledge.
It is learning to think as Christ thinks.
And when that happens, circumstances may change—or they may not.
But you will.
"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." (1 John 5:4)
Keep learning.
Keep growing.
Keep advancing.
The greatest victories are often won long before they are ever seen.
