The Cross of Jesus Christ was not just an instrument of death… it was a public declaration of curse, shame, and divine judgment.
In Deuteronomy 21:22–23, God reveals a principle that goes far beyond the Law: “cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” This was never about execution—it was about identification. The one displayed on the tree was marked as being under judgment.
Centuries later, that very principle was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
He was perfect. Sinless. Without flaw.
Yet on the Cross, He was not identified with His own righteousness…
He was identified with our sin.
Our sins were imputed to Him.
Our judgment was placed on Him.
And He became, positionally, accursed—so that we never would have to be.
What looked like the greatest shame in human history…
became the greatest expression of grace.
This message reveals how the Old Testament points directly to the Cross, how the New Testament confirms it, and how the Cross not only saves us—but transforms our relationship with shame, purpose, and eternity.
The question is:
If He endured that kind of shame for you… what are you willing to endure for Him?
