Are You Letting Someone Delay What God Has for You? | Dispensations Part 25
In Dispensations Part 25, Pastor Robert R. McLaughlin continues the study of the Dispensation of Promise by focusing on Abraham, the Abrahamic Covenant, and the faith required to follow God even when the destination is not yet clear.
God called Abraham out from Ur of the Chaldees and gave him extraordinary promises concerning his descendants, his name, the nation that would come from him, and the blessing that would ultimately extend to the world through Jesus Christ.
But Abraham’s journey was not without delay, failure, testing, and opposition.
This message explores what happens when believers try to accomplish God’s plan through human ability, how people and circumstances can delay spiritual progress, and why faith sometimes means moving forward before you know exactly where God is leading.
Pastor also examines Abraham’s obedience in Hebrews 11, including his willingness to offer Isaac, and shows why Abraham became known as the father of faith.
The message later moves into the historical background of Ur of the Chaldees, ancient moon worship, and Pastor McLaughlin’s teaching concerning the religious environment from which Abraham was called.
The central challenge is simple: God’s promises can seem impossible from the human viewpoint, but faith trusts the One who made the promise.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.” Hebrews 11:8
Join us as we continue our study of the dispensations and learn what Abraham’s life teaches us about faith, obedience, delay, and trusting God’s plan.
