Divine and Human Viewpoint
Part 3


Eternity Past, Age of Gentiles, Age of Israel, Hypostatic Union, Church Age, Tribulation, Millennium, Eternal future

Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. (Rebound)

Genesis 11: 1-9

A long time ago, during the Age of the Gentiles, everyone in the world spoke the same language. God told all of them to divide up and fill the earth, but they disobeyed Him.

Instead, the people wanted to show how awesome they were without God. They gathered together and came up with a plan so that they wouldn’t be forced to pack up their stuff and move.
Everyone worked hard; they made homemade bricks, and used them to build an enormous city and a tall tower named Babel that reached up into the clouds. They had human viewpoint and were doing a wrong thing in a wrong way. They also had pride which is called arrogance because they thought they could outsmart God who created them.
God is omniscient and saw everything they were doing. He knew that if He didn’t do something right away that they wouldn’t stop their evil ways and they would do even worse things.
He decided punish them by confusing all of their languages so they wouldn’t be able to understand each other. Suddenly without warning, everyone started talking in French, Arabic, and Spanish, English and other languages and the building stopped because they couldn’t understand each other.
Can you imagine if you were sitting in your classroom and suddenly the teacher started talking in Chinese? It would be really hard to understand your reading lesson if you spoke English wouldn’t it.
God scattered all of the people to every continent on earth. This is how different nations were developed. God is the one that started individual nations. Every nation is unique and has its own ways of doing things.
In the Bible story last week, Martha had human viewpoint when she thought her sister Mary was wrong for not helping her cook a meal for Jesus. Mary had divine viewpoint because she sat at Jesus feet and learned Bible Doctrine.
Let’s all remember that we are not meant to live our lives apart from God. We need His help in everything that we do. We always need to thank God for the special talents He gives to us.
Look at the thinking below and see if its human viewpoint or divine viewpoint put a checkmark by the examples of divine viewpoint.
1._____Melissa’s class had a spelling contest and she easily won. She went home and bragged to her family and texted her friends that she was the best speller in the world.
2._____ Chris couldn’t believe that he was chosen to play the trumpet solo. He knew that God gave him this special talent and thanked Him.
3.____ Connor played soccer and made more goals than everyone else during the big game. He thanked God for letting for giving him the ability to be a great player.
4.____ Emma’s teacher told the class to draw a thanksgiving picture. Emma got done with hers and looked at the one her friend Elizabeth drew and it was way better than hers. Emma was so mad that she crumpled up her drawing and threw it away.
Question 2 and 3 are divine viewpoint

People with divine viewpoint know they need Gods’ help. People with human viewpoint think they don’t need God’s help. When we think that we have no need of God, then we have pride which is called arrogance and God will punish us like our memory verse says.
