The Rapture - Part 3
Meeting Jesus in the Clouds
Eternity Past, Age of Gentiles, Age of Israel, Hypostatic Union, Church Age, Tribulation, Millennium, Eternal future
Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. Promise Memory Verse
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
The rapture will be like a gigantic surprise party in the sky with Jesus! Instead of emailing out invitations, God lets everyone know what will happen during the rapture ahead of time in the memory verse above. Only believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior at the end of the
Church Age will hear Jesus shouting and the trumpet blowing.
Instantly, their old bodies will change into new resurrection bodies that can fly as they rise up to meet Jesus in the clouds. All of the believers from the Church Age who have already died will get their new resurrection bodies as well during that time.
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” I Corinthians 15:52
What will the Church Age believers do in Heaven? There will be a huge wedding celebration with Jesus Christ! There will also be rewards passed out to Church Age believers who followed God’s plan for their life while filled with God the Holy Spirit’s power.
When we rebound, we are automatically filled with God the Holy Spirit’s power. It’s like plugging in your refrigerator. When it’s working, everything is fresh and yummy because the electricity from the refrigerator keeps the food cold.
Only the good things we do while filled with God the Holy Spirit’s power counts towards getting rewards in Heaven. This is called Divine good because we need God’s help to do it.
What would happen if your electricity went out for a few days? Everything in your refrigerator would spoil, and would smell like rotting eggs, sour milk and dead fish! Some foods would be covered with furry greenish mold. How gross!
We can do lots of good things; but if we haven’t rebounded first, our good actions are like the smelly, yucky food inside of an unplugged refrigerator. This is called human good because we are trying to do things without God’s help.
Everyone left behind after the Rapture will all be unbelievers. An unbeliever is someone who doesn’t believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins. To them it will look like millions of people just vanished. They will be in total shock and scared because no matter how much they search for or try to call their friends and loved ones, they won’t be able to find them.
The whole world will be shook up and afraid. Some people will think aliens snatched their loves ones away. There will be traffic jams all over the world because of cars crashing after the driver went up in the Rapture. Houses will burn down because the person cooking something will have the stove on cooking dinner when they went up in the Rapture.
This starts a new period of time is which is called the Tribulation and will last 7 years. It will start with all unbelievers. Some of those unbelievers will remember stories their families and friends told the about the rapture and they will become believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.
In order to become a believer, simply tell God the Father that you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. Faith Alone in Christ Alone, and you have eternal life!
